Franks’ Maximum Contributor Resigns from Top Exelon Post

Exelon CEO Anne Pramaggiore of 89 Hills and Dales, Barrington Hills, resigned yesteday “amid a wide-ranging federal investigation that includes the company’s lobbying activities at the Illinois State Capitol,” according to the Chicago Tribune.

She gave the maximum amount–$5,400–to State Rep. Jack Franks on Seotember 8, 2016, State Board of Elections records show.

Interestingly, Franks did not report receiving her contribution until November 3rd.

She also has contributed to indicted Franks’ contributor and Co-Chairman of Chicago fundraisers, Alderman Ed Burke.

    Burke won’t be around to help Jacks much when Jacko gets a tap on the shoulder by the Feds.

    Daddy can’t help him then.

  2. On December 1, 2016, Senate Bill 2814 (SB 2814) passed the State House and Senate, and was signed into law as Public Act 99-0906 (PA 99-0906) by Republican Governor Bruce Rauner on December 7, 2016.

    This was the Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) bill.

    Exelon is the parent company of ComEd.

    Included in the new law are solar, wind, and nuclear subsidies.

According to Illinois Sunshine, Anne Pramaggiore contributed 4,000 dollars to Dave McSweeney in 2018 and 2019, plus 1,500 in 2017 and 2016, 2,500 in 2015, and 500 in 2012; she contributed 2,500 to Durkin in 2017 and 2,000 in 2016; and she contributed 2,000 to Christine Radogno in 2016. These are Republicans.

    Plus money to Rahm, Lori Lightfoot, Toni Preckwinkle, Mike Madigan, Anita Alvarez, Blagojevich, Quinn, and Susana Mendoza. These are Democrats.

    Some might call her a “bipartisan” donor.
