David Gervais Has $84,600 Banked for Judicial Campaign

Attorney David Gervais was appointed to the Circuit Court by Supreme Court Justice Bob Thomas.

State Supreme Court rules do not allow an apointed judge to begin raising money until a year before his first election…which is the March Primary Election.

He had $74,309.47 in his bank account at the beginning of July,

This quarter he picked up $23,139.16 more.

Contributions included $250 from the campaign fund of Sheriff Bill Prim with $350 from other Political Action Committees in amounts less than $150.01.

Offsetting that were expenditures of $12,870.29.

$5,250 was for food for fundraisers, while the rest went to Cor Strategies, a campaign consulting firm.

The candidate has loaned his campaign $75,000 in March and April.

  1. Let’s remember how some of those “State Supreme Court rules” regulate how a judicial candidate can even raise the money, as well as other requirements candidates must do to avoid any hint of financial impropriety.
