Message of the Day – A Tee Shirt

This T-Shirt was found at the First United Methodist Church of Crystal Lake’s every Friday free food distribution at the Nunda Township Hall.

An angel cries about the state of the world.

The Nunda Township Hall is between the McHenry Blacktop (Walkup Road) and Route 31 northeast of Prairie Ridge High School.

  1. That angel covered her face and cried to heaven after taking a quick glance of this sunshine blog. Rumor has it she even lost her eyesight. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meeeeeeoooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww…

  2. Hahaha – that is a Weeping Angel from the TV series Dr. Who!!!

    Far from a crying angel!!!

  3. BeBe is accurate.

The weeping angels are the most terrifying villains of the reboot of Doctor Who, making their memorable debut 12 years ago in the critically acclaimed episode “BlinK”.

“Don’t blink, don’t even blink. Blink and you’re dead!…Don’t turn your back, don’t look away, and DON’T BLINK!”

Nearly every Whovian will remember the first time they saw this episode.

  4. Or crying due to enablement.

Give a man a fish vs teach a man to fish.

Sometimes love and compassion means you teach people how to provide for themselves.

It feels good for people to provide a temporary hammock to those that need life skills that can and should be taught via a safety net.

Show me a hungry child in McHenty County and I’ll show you a household where the parents have a drug alcohol or mental issue which needs to be treated.

Unfortunately with DCFS and Acosta types who have failed to provide a basic safety net as they profit from the system, the kids are screwed either way.

Still, any “free food” should be tied to life skills seminar.

Think of it like a time share presentation tied to a few stay at a resort.

  6. There have been individuals who used the food distributio to get through times of unemployment.

One used to come shortly after 3 AM back in the days when it was first-come, first-served.

He told of starting to work at Meier’s the last week before he was to report to work and the last week we saw him.

  7. Angel wants to take us in a Tartus back to the French Revolution and the Reign of Terror of his Jacobin killers.

  8. CP, the Daleks are the Daleks, and the reboot did them justice, and they could climb stairs during the classic Doctor Who years during the late 1980s.

The reboot rebooted many of the classic villains, including the Cybermen, Sontarans, Ice Warriors and many others.

Would love to have seen them reboot the Celestial Toymaker for one of the holiday specials, but how the Great Intelligence was rebooted can bring nightmares.

Think I need to find a certain video about the terror of the Wi-Fi.

  9. And the show really did justice to the St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre in France, too.

And CP, I think a Halloween post is in order as Doctor Who gave new meaning to the phrase “touched by an angel”.
