McConchie, Oberweis Break with Majority on Insulin Price Fixing Bill

Comparing the price of insulin in the United States with the price elsewhere shows US pries thme highest by far.

Yet setting the maximum cost at $100 per month, as Senate Bill 667 does, can only be seen as price fixing.

Ittakes me back to the “Whip Inflation Now” days of Predient Jerry Ford.

The bill was overwhelmingly passed in the state Senate today.

Of possible interest is that of the State Senators running for Congress in the 14th District, one voted “Yes,” while the other voted “No.”

Supporting the legislation was Sue Rezin.

In opposition was Jim Oberweis.

Among those representing parts of McHenry County, only one–Dan McConshie–opposed the bill.

State Senatoes Dan DeWitte and Craig Wilcox voted in favor.

  1. Not the first time Oberweis and Rezin voted different ways on legislation.

    Student trustee legislation.

Oberweis supported, and Rezin opposed, one of only 2 to oppose the possibility of an illegal immigrant becoming a student trustee in the state senate.

  2. Link is the FBI’s little snitch, but sometimes snitches like him, the eels they are, are needed to catch the Great White Whales, like Madigan and Cullerton.

  3. Thanks for the heads up, Dinah_Mite.

There’s all kinds of stuff happening with Little Mary Sunshine.

I looked up Lisa Shamhart, and she’s listed as the Risk Management Coordinator for McHenry County.

On October 10, 2019, MM and Ed Gill filed a petition for discovery in the McHenry County Circuit Court.

The listed defendants are McHenry County, Cal, the McHenry County Blog, John Doe, Jane Doe, and Defendants Unknown.

She’s also started a gofundme page called “Equal access toJustice”[sic]

So far, she’s raised $200 towards her $75,000 goal. It was all donated by a single donor.

There’s never a dull moment with her.

  4. I also have a dream that competent people get elected, unfortunately Mary, our dreams can not both become reality.

  5. How about fixing the price of gas by eliminating the high Ill. taxes.

I get my gas in WI.
