Aldermanic Replacement Sought in McHenry

From the City of McHenry:

Notice of a Ward 4 vacancy on the McHenry City Council

Ward 4 Alderwoman Bobbi Baehne recently resigned from the City Council for personal reasons and a replacement councilmember is being sought to fulfill the remainder the vacant term through April, 2023. 

If you have resided in Ward 4 for more than one year, are over the age of 18, and are a registered voter, please submit a letter of interest and qualifications to Mayor Wayne Jett via email at wjett@cityofmchenry.org

Personal interviews will be scheduled with selected applicants and a recommendation will thereafter be made to City Council for its consent and approval.

  1. Wouldn’t this aldermanic seat be up for election as an unexpired term in the 2021 elections in a year and a half?

    I know an appointment to replace the council member must be made, but I thought the seat will come up for a 2-year term in ’21.
