CL DUI Arrest Results in 4-Year Sentence

PATRICK MCARDLE SENTENCED TO FOUR YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR AGGRAVTED DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Patrick J. McArdle, 57, of Gilberts, Illinois, was found guilty of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (5th Offense), a Class 1 felony, following a negotiated plea before the Honorable Michael Coppedge.

On June 30, 2019, members of the Crystal Lake Police Department responded to a report of erratic driving.

Officers located McArdle asleep in his vehicle, exhibiting signs that he was under the influence of alcohol.

McArdle admitted consuming alcohol beverages, and open containers of
alcohol were located in his vehicle.

McArdle was sentenced to a sentence of four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections pursuant to the plea.

This case was investigated by members of the Crystal Lake Police Department.

This case was prosecuted by Robert Ladd of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
