Collection of Articles of Top-Tier Republican Candidates
Over the past five weeks, McHenry County Blog has provided an in-depth view of the major candidates who will are competing for the Republican nomination in the 14th congressional district for the opportunity to challenge Congresswoman Lauren Underwood in next year’s general election.
The four candidates who had raised at least $100,000 from donors through September 30 had clearly separated themselves from the remaining candidates. Chances are very high one of these four candidates will be the Republican nominee, and any one of them can win the nomination.
In Twitter, the unscientific informal poll of the top tier 14th district candidates is still accepting votes through Monday. You can click the “Vote” button in the embedded tweet to be directed to the Twitter page to cast your vote if you haven’t done so already:
As stated in a previous article, the poll is being conducted by Chris Hansen, who is the events officer for DuKane A.B.A.T.E.
Two of the commenters in Twitter to this poll said the following:
“Give some background, my votes are educated”
“Had to retweet for now, I don’t know enough to make a[n] informed decision”Comments to the poll tweet from Twitter from last week
So below are links to the articles about the top-tier candidates, both their features and relevant articles that have been published since the initial publication.
This article established the rankings of the top-tier Republican candidates:
The four candidates’ information is presented in alphabetical order, which is the order listed on the Twitter poll. Clicking a candidate’s name is a link to the candidate’s campaign website for information.
The links underneath a candidate’s name are for articles about the candidate that were published on McHenry County Blog, or other media sources.
It is hoped this information proves helpful for the voting public to get to know all of the top-tier candidates.
