Illinois GOP National Committeewoman Endorses Ives for Congress

November 26, 2019 – Jeanne Ives, Republican candidate for Congress (IL-06), has been endorsed by Demetra DeMonte, Republican National Committeewoman for Illinois.

Family PAC’s Paul Caprio and GOP National Committeewoman Demetra DeMonte in 2014.

DeMonte joins the House Freedom Caucus, the Illinois Republican Congressional delegation, and Rich Porter, Illinois Republican National Committeeman, in throwing her support behind Ives for the 6th Congressional District.

House Freedom Caucus formally endorsed Ives in September. Members of Illinois’ Republican Congressional Delegation were recently joined by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy in hosting a fundraiser for Ives in Washington DC.

“I am greatly honored to have the support of Demetra Demonte, Rich Porter and Congressional Republicans in this race,” Ives said. “We have all spent our careers working to advance liberty and free market policy solutions. I look forward to working with them toward our common goal of defeating Sean Casten and the Crony Socialist policies he brought with him to Congress.”

  1. “Crony socialist policies?”

What the hell is she talking about?

  2. I was wondering how she got that title so I looked up the process.

She was elected at the Illinois Republican convention by delegates.

  3. She’s going to lose.

Is there any more info about the “fundraiser” in DC was mccarthy actually there and what members of the IL delegation were there?

McCarthy meets with every Republican running for congress, a meeting doesn’t equal an endorsement.

  4. “Crony socialist policies” hahahahahahahahahaha last week she was calling him a “crony capitalist.”

Wouldn’t expect Cal to point that out though.

  5. Lets not forget Jay kinzler.. he’s probably more winnable then Jeanne.

That thank you Bruce rauner commercial is going to be her downfall.

  6. Taste of Wheaton – You’re wrong.

Thank You Bruce Rauner is only the beginning, do you know how much bigoted and racist stuff she has said in her career?

When asked at a township meeting how she would answer questions about that ad her answer was basically “I’m not a racist because I have a black friend” (aka Babette Holder) which is literally the textbook racist rebuttal to being called a racist.

The DCCC knows she can’t win but if the race does somehow get close for any reason they will dig through all her interviews ever and there will be a deluge of content.

  7. How is Taste of Wheaton wrong if you agree with the overall point about Ives being perceived as bigoted but are just giving more examples?

    It’s a distinction without a difference.

  8. Correcting – i was agreeing with taste of Wheaton. It’s called irony.

  9. Bruce Rauner was the beginning of the GOP downfall–Jeanne will save the GOP.

  10. My bad, FLamont.

Yes, I think it’s better to have candidates with less baggage.

    Kinzler is a safer bet.

Which of course means Republicans will pick Ives.
