With Chris Christensen retiring after one term+, the only incumbent on the ballot is Republican Joe Gottemoller.
Joining him on the GOP ticket will be Mike “Shorty” Shorten.
Shorten has run for Governor in 2006 as a write-in candidate, Crystal Lake City Council and Nunda Township Trustee, the latter, in 2013, successfully.
Democrats saw no candidates file.
Sounds like McHenry County Democrats will be slating between the primary and June 1.
