Six Years for Johnsburg Man Who Provided Heroin That Resulted in Woman’s Death

TIMOTHY COLBY SENTENCED TO SIX YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSE OF DRUG- INDUCED HOMICIDE

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that Timothy Colby, 44, of Johnsburg, Illinois, was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by Honorable Judge Michael Coppedge after pleading guilty to Drug-Induced Homicide, a Class X Felony.

On July 10, 2018, Shawn Ackerman, of McHenry Illinois, died of a heroin overdose.

An investigation confirmed that Colby was responsible for the delivery of the fatal heroin dose.

This case was investigated by members of the McHenry Police Department.

This case was prosecuted by Brian Miller of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.

  1. I’d bet the average person could successfully prosecute these type of case’s with no legal training and it’s all that Patrick Kenneally seems to be patting himself on the back for.

    Just pathetic that he’s the States Attorney for McHenry County.

    Perhaps he could move his office to Walmart.

  3. What about all the kids who have brain-poisoned by the public elementary and high schools? Why aren’t they charged?
