Tribune Continues to Follow AJ’s Story — 13 Comments

  1. Creeps, all 3 of them; Acosta, his supervisor and Gold, totally derelict in their duties to react/respond and follow up, with their ineptness costing this child his life. How many calls, reports, observations, wounds do they need before they take action? How does Acosta live with himself or represent on the County Board the people, let alone show his face in this County? Its disgraceful and tragic what these peoples dereliction of duty cost—a childs life. So much for “see something say something” when it comes to Kids in need. Cant some kind of criminal charges be filed or action besides the Federal Lawsuit AJ’s grandmother is pursuing? The article and the previous reported Police interrogation interview should be required reading for anyone who cares about Kids in distress. It will disgust you. We need changes, not just with DCFS but with all inter-agencies cooperating to follow up, see through and hold accountable ANY report of abuse of a Child that comes in.

  2. We know their names.
    We know their faces.
    We know their eternal fate.
Woe be unto them who call themselves defenders of the defenseless
    for their misdeeds.

  3. How can anyone support Acosta?

Jack Franks came out loud and proud in support of this creep and blamed the system?

Franks was part of the system for 18 yrs+ and failed to do anything about it!?

Lets get rid of Acosta and Franks.

    Drain the Swamp

  4. Acosta has always thought about where he was going next. never thought about the job he had.

He is the ultimate “climber” and now he has stepped on a five year old child.

He is bad for this county.

  5. Acosta also serves on the Woodstock Planning Commission .

Appointed by mayor Brian Sager who has been on the Woodstock City Council for 30 +-years , 16 as Mayor , until Jack Frank’s appointed him to a $25,000 a year patronage job with the RTA.

After being a life -long Republican, Sager has “magically” become a Democratic.

Incredibly, Sagar has the nerve to run for State Representative, as a faux Democrat, against Peter Janko, an authentic Democrat

In addition, Woodsrock City council member Wendy Piersal was an enthusiastic supporter of Acosta for County Boaed.

    She worked on his campaign.

Both Acosta and Piersal are far Left zealots.

It’s time for Sager to remove Acosta from his involvement in Woodstock city government .

    In addition,
Franks, Sager and Piersal must call for Acosta’s removal from the McHenry County Board

  6. Piersall is an appointed PC in Dorr 1 and the fundraising chairman of the McHenry County Democrats.

It seems that every quote of hers in the newspaper is her complaining that Woodstock residents don’t just say yes to everything.

  7. Sager is unfortunately still the mayor.

He chose to run against his good ‘friend’, Steve Reick for State Rep.

He must want to add to his collection of public pensions.

Piersall and her husband are recipients of City taxpayer money.

They violated their agreement to hire a certain amount of employees (in minimum wage positions) and they don’t have to pay the money back even tho they didn’t live up to their agreement.

Her husband is on FB rushing to Acosta’s defense over the inhumane treatment of 5 yr old AJ as DCFS case worker.

Acosta got money from a grant given to him by the grant commission for a Hispanic group he formed.

He went back for more money and they asked him for proof of how he spent the first grant he got.

He was in shock they would’ve put a condition on that free money!

Guess he thought county tax money would be an endless stream of a cash cow for him.

They told him he’d better give them accounting or they’d require that he pay the money back.

Well, what do you think he did next?

He shut it down so he wouldn’t have to pay it back.

He now sits on the county board!

Jack Franks county chairman, defends Acosta for inhumane treatment of 5 yr old AJ, blaming the system when Franks was part of the system for 18 yrs and never did a thing to change DCFS!

See the tight knit group of losers we have making the rules on how we should live, hire, pay up, and pay up some more?

  8. Acosta also gets money from another gig: Wonder Lake State Bank Hispanic Outreach Co-Ordinator or something.

    What does he do?

    Translate?

Get a skim rake off from each pigeon he brings in and opens an acct?

    This was in 2018 (summer).

  9. Franks is actually worse than Acosta.

Franks I’d Acosta’s Chinaman. Franks expects Acosta to do dirty deeds for Franks……….. But now Acosta has too much ‘baggage’.

To bad, Carlos, Hasta la Vista Baby!

You have become a liability for Fat Face Franks.

  10. How about using union tactics and picket a county board meeting?

    Serious, this could be fun.

    We could chant

hey – ho – no work Acosta$ gotta go

  11. If he works for the banks that is in the Franks’ banking group, it would seem that Jack has found another way to emmulate Mike Madigan.

Madigan is said to find outside income for Democratic State Reps.

  12. The Wonder Lake Bank and all the banks in the State Bank Group are owned primarily by Herb Franks and his sister .it’s not known if Jack is on the board and / or on the payroll.

    Could be?

In any event, it’s a family affair. …..

Their banks include Harvard, Spring Grove, Hebron etc.

Few people know who owns these local banks and even fewer know that Jack’s job at the family law firm was primarily that of a debt collector.

Chasing money from citizens who exist mostly at the lower end of the social economic scale..

In brief, common folk under financial pressure

Sad way to make a living, I’d say
