Judicial Opponents of Mary McClellan, Whose Petitions Were Challenged, Expected to Stay on the Ballot

From 3rd Subdistrict judicial candidate Don Brewer:

22nd Judicial Circuit Sub Circuit 3 Vacancy

Don Brewer

In case you had not heard both Justen Hansen and myself were able to emerge from the Electoral Board hearings this morning on Objections filed by Cynthia Pilz, a Cary resident and individual set up by none other than __________________ to object to both Hansen and my nomination petitions.

I presented by case in opposition to Pilz’s Objections and the Board found for me rejecting the Objections.

Pilz spoke as an attendee and not under oath.

She did not participate at all in Hansen’s hearing.

First the Board denied my Motion to Dismiss and then we went to a hearing.

They found that there was no likely hood of confusion as to which office I was hoping to attain by getting on the primary ballot.

The attorney for Hansen did not put on any oral evidence or testimony and gave a short retort to the attorney for Pilz (—–) presentation which was essentially the same presentation he made in my case.

The attorney for Hansen from Swanson and Bell indicated afterwards that

“As a trial lawyer, when you are winning, you shut up and quit talking.”

He knew from the decision in my hearing that he would probably get the same or very similar result.

  1. I guess here last shot at being uncontest on the ballot and becoming a judge has slipped away.

Because that was her only shot.

  2. That woman never stops!

Pull out every trick in the hat.

You will NEVER be elected MM.

    Never!

    Even pulling the ‘woman’ card.

    Your a disgrace

  3. Why did Brewer run?

To allow the anti-Typhoid vote to be split?
