Man Arrested on Attempted Murder Charge
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Michael Vrba, 35, for
- Attempted First Degree Murder,
- Home Invasion,
- Residential Burglary,
- Aggravated Domestic Battery, and
- Aggravated Battery
stemming from an incident that occurred in the 6000 block of Acorn Court
in Crystal Lake.
At approximately 6:22 a.m., on January 9th, deputies responded to the 6000 block of Acorn Court for an assist to rescue call.
Deputies arrived on scene and discovered a 29-year-old Crystal Lake man with knife wounds.
The Crystal Lake man was flown by helicopter to Advocate Condell
Hospital in Libertyville where he remains in serious but stable condition.
An investigation was launched by the McHenry County Criminal Investigation Division.
Attempted First Degree Murder, Home Invasion, Residential Burglary, Aggravated Domestic Battery, and two counts of Aggravated Battery.
This investigation is on-going by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

Would’nt Pritzker want him out on no bail under his move towards “no cash bail” system?
…or those who cry foul for the poor, this guy’s bail/bond is 1mil/100k cash, which he cant afford.
Shouldnt he be allowed to be free until trial Governor?
If so, have him over your house…
So, Bob, just to be clear, you’d be totally fine if this guy was rich and he got out of jail.
But you’re not ok if he’s poor.

I’m surprised that the Northwest Herald even wrote about this as nothing negative ever happens in Crystal Lake with Mayor McCheese on duty.
It’s all rainbows, gumdrops and marching around in parades three hundred and sixty five days a year in Crystal Lake.
He should also be arrested for not stealing vowels in his last name.
