Tomorrow congressional candidate for the 14th district State Senator Jim Oberweis will be attending a series of 4 fundraisers with special guest Clint A. Lorance, who was pardoned by President Trump in November of two counts of second-degree murder for ordering soldiers in his platoon to open fire at three men on a motorcycle in southern Afghanistan in July 2012.

This was previously reported in a January 2 article.

In a January 7 press release, Oberweis said:

“The story of Clint Lorance is a compelling one.

“What he had to endure is shameful. President Trump did the right thing pardoning him. I think everyone who comes out to the events we are hosting will enjoy having the opportunity to meet him.”

IL-14: Jim Oberweis Host Committee Members for Lorance Fundraisers — 3 Comments

  1. So, Oberweis is going a day of events with a murderer?

AND he brags about an endorsement from Todd Vandermyde, whose behavior was so bad he got fired by the NRA?
