Crystal Lake Police Investigate Suspicious Incident Involving Child

Crystal Lake, IL –A juvenile reported that while waiting for their school bus in the area of Virginia Road and Darlington Lane at around 7am.

On Monday, January 13, 2020, an unknown white male approached in a vehicle and told the juvenile to get in.

The juvenile ran from the scene and later reported the incident to a trusted adult.

Suspect in attempted child abduction.

The male was described as being in their 30’s, balding, wearing a black sweat shirt and gray pants, and yellow square-rimmed glasses.

The vehicle was described as a red sedan with tinted windows.

The juvenile further reported this man approached her two other times within the past year under similar circumstances but was driving a white

This event is currently being investigated by Crystal Lake detectives.

We are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man so that we may have the opportunity to speak with him regarding his alleged actions.
