Update: Crystal Lake Police Determine Suspicious Incident at Bus Stop Unfounded

Crystal Lake, IL – The Crystal Lake Police Department, after receiving dozens of leads and conducting an extensive investigation, has determined that no crime had been committed.

The male driver has been identified and interviewed by Crystal Lake detectives.

The driver mistakenly believed the juvenile was his Uber fare he was scheduled to pick up in the area.

The Crystal Lake Police Department would like to thank our responsive community for their expressed concern and willingness to provide information they believed to be relevant to this investigation.
