Outlines the healthcare debate into four sub-issues & pathway to compete with her in the fall
Today, Congresswoman Lauren Underwood was endorsed by PearlPAC, a group, according to their website,
“…an independent, Black Female-led organization. PearlPAC is harnessing the political power of people across America to help elect more diverse women to public office at all levels.”PearlPAC.org
So on Martin Luther King Day 2020, Underwood was one of several candidates endorsed in the 2020 elections, with 17 other black women.

A group that endorsed Underwood’s reelection already, the pro-abortion EMILY’s List, released a podcast of a 26 minute interview with Underwood as part of it.
During the podcast, Underwood broke down the healthcare issue as she sees it, and provides the Republican candidates the framework/scope how she sees it and how best to prove the Republican candidate is better than Underwood.
Underwood breaks down healthcare as:
- Medical insurance premiums are too high
- Deductibles are too high
- Presecription drug prices are too high
- Surprise medical expenses are too high
Some of the items have been heard from Underwood before in previous interviews or the commencement speech she delivered last May in California.
But there is new material, too, and the podcast is worth a listen:
The Underwood interview begins at the 7:55 mark and was prerecorded earlier this month.
