Latest video ad keeps the football kicking theme and takes on Lauren Underwood directly
14th congressional district Republican candidate Ted Gradel continues with his football kicking themed ads at the indoor practice facility to demonstrate a “wide left” kick on Congresswoman Lauren Underwood.
Released this morning, and the debate is tomorrow night at 6:45PM at McHenry County College:
With Super Bowl LIV now set, and one of the teams is the San Francisco 49ers, one wonders what Gradel, or any other candidate, might do to remind the voters Underwood had a fundraiser on July 29 last year in the Mission District in the city by the bay in the context of The Big Game matchup.
Underwood made two appearances in the Bay Area last year, one in San Francisco, and the other across the bay speaking at a commencement.

I like that he is going after Underwood here but I still think the kicking footballs thing is really dumb.
The kicking footballs thing is cute and catchy.
Its kinda’ like the Mike Frerichs add from 5 years ago about “standing tall for IL” playing up on Frerichs’ height and getting a cat out of a tree.
TV ads are not typically about issues.
They’re about building name recognition.
And people are going to remember a guy kicking field goals before a guy talking about some kind of policy.
President Trump can have a big win in Illinois if we can put Republicans back in Congress in the IL #6 and 14 Districts.
That means get rid of Casten and Underwear.

Commercial is good…to the point, visual display of the message, proves he’s spry, alert, and smiles,and easy recall of the message…whats not to like?
You got a few seconds to present your ideas and self, and nothing better than an easy visual to remember.
You’ll think of Underwood everytime now you hear “Wide Left” on Field Goal misses or even hockey shots.
Lets just hope Moo Man doesnt give us a double doink…guy’s lost more elections than anyone.
