IL-14: Tribune Highlights GOP Primary

The Chicago Tribune has a front page article on the seven-person race for the Republican nomination to run against Democrat Loren Underwood this fall.

Reporter Rick Pearson, who was once Bureau Chief in McHenry County, highlights each of the candidates, but Sue Rezin and Catalina Lauf are the two that ended up on the front page.

On page four, the story continues with relatively large photos of Congresswoman Loren Underwood and head shots with short bios of each of the eight candidates.

    You might like to know that NW Herald did a story about the GOP candidates today.

    There is a pic of Evans, Lauf, Marter, and Catella sitting at the interview table on the front page of today’s edition.

    And one more thing, Cal…

    I just saw some Catalina signs. (I’ve seen some Byrnes signs too — I commented about a week ago that I hadn’t seen any of hers yet.)

    The Catalina signs are in an area that voted heavily for Lauren Underwood.

    There are many rich doctors and lawyers in that area.
