Dinner Dance Fundraiser for Mental Health

From the McHenry County chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Health:

On Saturday March 7th from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm at The Dole in Crystal Lake, NAMI McHenry County will be holding its 4th Annual Friend-Raiser.

The musical entertainment to be provided by 4theBeat Variety Band will serve as the backdrop for this event that will include sharing by a parent of a daughter with mental health challenges as well as a teenager briefly describing her challenges.

In addition, we will be recognizing two members of our community, who have made wonderful contributions to furthering the mental health effort in McHenry County, by awarding the annual Vision of Hope Awards.

Your support of this event will go along way towards our being able to implement our service-expansion initiatives.

  1. Will the Mayor be attending with his eyes popping out of his candy apple size head?

  2. Terry Kappel! Boy does that name ring a ding dong dumbbell!

He ran against Jacko ‘Psycho’ Franks along time ago for Democrat something or other. I seem to recall Franks got him tossed from the ballot for being something like “loco”

Even Patrick Murfin warned me ‘watch out” about Kappel.

Muffin is still alive and he and Kappell make up a little group of haters who want to destroy everything good!

“The event is co-sponsored by Indivisible Illinois, Indivisible Brookfield, Interfaith Community for Detained Immigrants (ICDI), League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC-IL), McHenry County Democratic Party, McHenry County Democratic Women’s Club, McHenry County National Organization for Women (NOW), McHenry County Progressives, Rape Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN), Woodstock Pride, and the Tree of Life Unitarian Universalist Congregation Social Justice Team.”

  3. I find it so unbelievably, so incredibly sad that you all are so blinded by some bizarre, innate need to turn every post into a referendum on “who are we hating today,” that you fail to see the good in an event like this, regardless of whom the sponsoring parties are.

Seriously, when one is on the opposite side of Rape Abuse and Incest, that person should probably reevaluate their priorities.

I mean, Jesus Christ, since when is a CHARITY event benefitting the mentally ill anything but laudatory?

Perhaps it’s time to recalibrate your moral compasses, folks.
