IL-06: Jeanne Ives Releases First TV Commercial of 2020 Election Cycle — 16 Comments

  1. Not a bad ad.

She should be stashing as much cash away as possible.

If she is a shoo-in for the primary she wouldn’t be running this ad so maybe Kinzler has made it too close for comfort.

This isn’t the kind of ad you run in the General, and if she thinks moderate voters are going to vote for her because of Ted Cruz and Jim Jordan she has another thing coming.

Casten will beat her by 10.

    Kinzler has a better chance.

  2. Good job, Jeanne will beat Sean Casten and pick up one of the badly needed seats in the House, the winner in 14 will do the same!

Trump probably won’t win Illinois, but the pick up of 2 House seats would be a terrific victory!

  3. Just a suggestion Jeanne.

Ads of angry mobs taking away Democrats, in Ox Carts to the Guillotine, do very well in Texas.

  4. Will get Conservatives, and real Republicans attention for sure with that litany of hard core Conservative names endorsements in the Primary—may also get a few teed off teetering Dems with the mug of Madigan, the say no to Taxes bit, and being shown with the hot dog guy as representative of the People, in the General.

The Madigan reference (even though State level) can bring folks of different Party Persuasion together.,,both sides hate the taxing, thieving, and sexual harassment that has happened under his watch.

  5. Casten is the guy who stupidly compared an abortion, the taking of an infant life, with a gall bladder operation. Except for a handful of women who are pro-death (so called pro choice), most every caring human, man or woman, should shun this guy Casten and vote for Jeanne after she beats Kinzler. Jeanne should easily beat Casten.

  6. We all have to work hard and alert our friends and neighbors to the importance of the elections in 6 and 14.

  7. We all have to work hard and alert our friends and neighbors to the importance of the House elections in 6 and 14.

  8. Bred is dreamin’.

Most people around here are thoroughly brainwashed.

Every year, more and more good people leave this wretched state.

The % of socialistic creeps, dullards and total cultural aliens increases

  9. FLamont, clearly, the timing of release of this first and likely only commercial for the primary and when tells new Ives’ campaign is not threatened by Kinzler, or else she’d have been on TV a lot sooner.

Looks like Kinzler has gotten no boost from the two newspaper endorsements he got last month.

Ives is just running out the clock on Kinzler.

  10. Lopez, why would she run ads touting her far right, some would say extremist endorsements, unless it was to shore up her R base?

Like I said either Kinzler is getting close or she has no idea how to run a campaign or both!

This ad hurts her in the general.

  11. Not to mention a huge waste of money.

I don’t know how big the ad buy is but who ever she is getting advice from is steering her wrong.

  12. Agreed to a point, concerning the general.

    But let’s remember something.

Ives’ campaign has its internal tracking polls, and you and I can both be assured she’s watching if Kinzler has gotten any traction to be competitive, or even a threat, to Ives’ nomination.

I think “shore up her R base?” question is the best explanation.

No one likes to be taken for granted, and this commercial, and the mailer over the weekend, was to remind the base of her candidacy, and to make sure they actually vote.

While I have questions about Ives’ campaign and how it’s been being run, I do get the impression they know what they’re doing.

The only thing I found odd was Ives using vintage pictures/footage of Senator Ted Cruz, as he is still sporting his beard.

  13. Another militarist like “Senator” Wilcox. We need citizens not retread militarists.
