Pro-Life Leaders Endorse Mark Curran for U.S. Senate, Slam Opponent Tom Tarter’s Endorsement by Log Cabin Republicans

A joint letter from Lake County Right to Life leader Bonnie Quirke and McHenry County Right to Life leader Irene Napier:

Bonnie Quirke and Irene Napier

We, Bonnie Quirke and Irene Napier, have both been active in the Right to Life movement since 1973.

We have both served as President of County and State Right to Life Movements and have been active in the management of the National Right to Life Movement.

We have both endorsed former Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran for US Senate and believe that Religious Liberty is a key component of the Pro-Life Movement.

This letter addresses our concerns that one of the Candidates for US Senate will not protect Religious Liberty.

Mark Curran talking with Patrick Kenneally

We have endorsed Mark Curran for US Senate.

We Bonnie Quirke of Lake County Illinois and Irene Napier of McHenry County Illinois believe that Mark Curran, who is endorsed by the Illinois Federation of Right to Life, Illinois Family Action, Family PAC Federal and many of the leaders in the Pro-Life Movement believe Mark Curran is the only acceptable Candidate for US Senate from Illinois.

Mark is one of the best known and most supportive Pro-Life people in our state.

The other candidates are unknown to the Pro-Life community and have no real record when it comes to defending the unborn.

It is also worth mentioning that former Sheriff Mark Curran is the only candidate that has protected and will continue to protect liberty, especially
Religious Liberty.

Mark was the only elected official in Lake County to publicly defend traditional marriage when the issue of Same-Sex Marriage was being debated in Illinois.

The religious groups that were concerned that this would affect Religious Liberty organized a rally just before the vote in front of a Republican State Representative’s Mundelein Office.

This State Representative wound up being one of the deciding votes in favor of Same-Sex Marriage.

This State Representative took issue with Sheriff Mark Curran standing up to him and has tried to hurt Mark politically at every opportunity including recruiting candidates to run against Mark.

Now, this State Representative and the company he works with, Cor Strategies, are supporting the candidacy of Tom Tarter for US Senate.

Tom Tarter is endorsed by the Log Cabin Republicans, which is the group representing the radical LGBTQIA agenda that has swept across the nation and infiltrated our children’s schools.

We, Bonnie and Irene, agree Tom Tarter has no interest in protecting our schools from LGBTQIA indoctrination and he has no interest in protecting the rights of religious people.

Former Sheriff Mark Curran is the only acceptable candidate for people that take their faith seriously and believe in Religious Liberty.

Join us, Bonnie Quirke and Irene Napier, in supporting Mark Curran and preserving Religious Liberty. Vote for Mark Curran on March 17th in the Republican Primary.

Pro-Life Leaders Endorse Mark Curran for U.S. Senate, Slam Opponent Tom Tarter’s Endorsement by Log Cabin Republicans — 13 Comments

  1. I have a lot of respect for both of these ladies.

Real matriarchs of the pro-life and pro-Family movement.

I can testify that when I was the State Political Director for Rick Santorum in 2012 and virtually all of the establishment was with Romney, the two highest ranking elected officials in the state to endorse and campaign for Senator Santorum were Mark Curran and Tim Bivins.

After many months on the sidelines of this race I will say Dr. Tarter is my second choice, but I am endorsing Mark
    Curran.

  2. That train left the station.

GOP will have to look to 2022 for the next opportunity to put a real opponent up.

  3. I have been a right to life activist with Springfield Right to Life, which can be confirmed by the executive director Tom Moore.

We support them with money and time.

My young son Sergei and I participated in a program in the Illinois Capitol rotunda last month.

Sergei tells our pro-life story on YouTube at Tarter Life.

I did not seek the endorsement of the Log Cabin Republicans.

    Go ahead and ask them.

Their national organization endorsed President Trump, so It is fair to assume that Bonnie Quirke and Irene Napier do not endorse our President.

  4. So how is forcing your own religious beliefs on someone else religious “liberty?”

  5. I still want to know what the LBTGQ indoctrination and agenda is?

All they want is to be treated fairly.

  6. Statement from Dr Tom Tarter:

“I did not seek their endorsement. I answered a questionnaire according to my Catholic values, and my answers were identical to the IFI questionnaire, to which I received very high ratings. I’m not sure why they endorsed me. Their national organization also endorsed President Trump.”

So you can all unbunch your undies.

This is not swaying me in the least.

  7. “This State Representative wound up being one of the deciding votes in favor of Same-Sex Marriage.

This State Representative took issue with Sheriff Mark Curran standing up to him and has tried to hurt Mark politically at every opportunity including recruiting candidates to run against Mark.

Now, this State Representative and the company he works with, Cor Strategies, are supporting the candidacy of Tom Tarter for US Senate.”

Why won’t they name the state representative? Everybody thinks their political party should be run this way or that way, but if you won’t name the people who you are 180 degrees apart from then what’s even the point of intraparty fighting?

If I don’t know who the good and bad guy is, what’s the point?

I also want to say that regardless of your opinion of these women, of pro-life vs pro-choice, or of this Senate race in general, I think their endorsement makes sense.

Tarter doesn’t have anything on his website indicating he’s socially conservative.

    Nothing about abortion.

Curran may not be much of a Republican, but he IS pro-life and if that is a big deal to you, then the endorsement makes sense. (I’m shocked how many are willing to give him a pass for his terrible stance on illegal immigration, but that’s another topic.)

He has been endorsed by many pro-life groups.

Tarter has been endorsed by a homosexual group.

I’m not surprised that social conservatives picked Curran over Tarter and you shouldn’t be either.

Hubbard has disqualified herself — most serious people don’t take her seriously (which explains why Ptak still supports her).

The other two candidates are low-tier: a no name and a perennial candidate.

It’s hard to emphasize how awful this field is and how badly you are going to lose to Dick Durbin.

  8. Not letting such a nonsensical excuse keep me from voting for the most intelligent candidate with the compelling platform.

Dr MARTER, MARTER and TRUMP will be quite a team!

  9. I’m staying with Tom Tarter in the primary

I Will support whoever Our Republican Candidate is !

Remember We Need To Defeat Durban!

Don’t sit home because your candidate didn’t win!

This is All About Defeating Durban and taking Our State Back!

  10. Rusty, are you huffing airplane glue again?

“Durban” cannot be un-elected until we have ballot security.

He’s the illegals’ choice ‘Numero Uno!”
