Citizens can request agenda items for Annual Town Meetings in township government.
The Algonquin Township Board is being asked to put the following on its Annual Town Meeting:
“Discussion and action for proposed policy to promote transparency through Township publication of Meeting Packets online on its website no less than 24 hours prior to meeting.”
Citizens now have no idea what Board members are discussing, except what they say at the meetings.
And, who asked for what I have requested numerous times?
Local members of the Democratic Party:
Note that one signer is Cynthia Pilz, the woman who filed suit to keep Justin Hansen and Donald Brewer off the Republican ballot on which they are facing off against Mary McClellan.
The petition was notarized by former Republican Algonquin Township Trustee Rachael Lawrence.
The monthly meeting of the Board will be held, Monday, March 11th, at 7.
In addition, there is a request from Algonquin Township Road Commissioner Andrew Gasser for a transfer of $10,000 in the Road and Bridge Fund from Maintenance-Roads to Legal Services.
What was Hanlon working on for 25 hours?
Nobly nob Miller, haven’t you stolen enough?
Just worry about whether the township officials are following the law and know what they’re doing, because as it stands now, they are not, on both accounts!
