IL-14: Sue Rezin Endorsed by Shaw Media Newspapers and Dan McConchie — 17 Comments

  1. Pretty sad the Northwest Herald endorsed Sue and she doesn’t even live in the district…… lost all of my business

  2. Jen, you’re starting to sound like Jim Oberweis concerning living in the congressional district, which is not required by law, only to live in the state.

I thought you are supporting Catalina Lauf, unless you’ve changed your mind.

The Northwest Herald, or more properly Shaw Media’s endorsement session interviews were recorded and released on video and was published in late February after 2/24. May I suggest you go and view the video and see why Shaw Media made their decision?

  3. And she probably still loses.

When will people start voting for the best candidate instead of trying to predict who has the best chance of winning?

Remember old orange guy had no chance and almost all Republicans who were elected officials in the collar counties said Trump has no chance and they were scared!

Hultgren and Roskum both stayed away from Trump and paid the price!

The whole Republican party paid the price!

RINO’s are afraid still of Trump and not willing to stand up!

Find the RINO on the ballot and don’t vote for them because they don’t have a backbone to stand up for anything!

  4. Sayitaintso, because in this case the best candidate is the candidate who has the best chance of winning.

Isn’t that the goal for Republicans?

    Beating the Democrat?

In this race that candidate is Sue Rezin.

  5. I cancelled my subscription as well.

    What a loser liberal tabloid!

    More advertising than news.

More opinion than news, more fake Franks news than news.

  6. “I cancelled my subscription as well.”

    Sure you did.

C’mon, no one subscribes to the NWH.

Besides, that’s a ridiculous reason for unsubscribing–if you even did.

  7. Spoiled sports: each candidate went to be interviewed by the Shaw Newspapers Editorial Board and wanted their endorsement. Likewise, each candidate would love to have this list of elected officials and former elected officials endorsing them.

sayitaintso get off it. In 2016, Rezin’s Democrat opponent for State Senate sent two negative mailers attacking Rezin for publicly supporting Trump in the media–again in 2016 in the midst of her own general election in a swing district.

Then in Rezin’s first newspaper mailed out in this campaign she mentioned Trump in very favorable ways 20 times. She has always supported him.

You haven’t read a single thoughtful article written by any of Rezin’s primary opponents. Because only Rezin has gone in depth on issues and beyond platitudes in this campaign. Rezin deserves to win. She will be the strongest Republican that Underwood could face. Her voting record out of many thousands of votes is overwhelmingly conservative according to ACU. And she has won all her races-including a big one against a Madigan loyalist in the House and twice more against Cullerton loyalists in the Senate. Whomever your candidate is can’t say any of that.

  8. Wow McConchie.

    Another pathetic sellout.

Well he can join the RINOs Weber and DeWitte (rhymes w sh*t) in their little beaver dam nest.

And Dan, I won’t forget the betrayal.

  9. Oh, and by the way, wasn’t her husband’s original surname spelt N-I-Z-E-R, Rezin backwards?

  10. I guess these Illinois endorsements are a kind of compliment.

But it’s sorta like being called ‘good looking’ by the Elephant man.

  11. Shaw Media that speaks volumes NOT for her… case they never learn who they hang with effects them in the long run… d.a.

  12. Rezin is the best candidate per her wins as a political candidate in beating Democrats as well as her experience in the legislature. Considerably much more than Lauren.

This experience makes Sue Rezin the best candidate to face Underwood. Furthermore, optics make Rezin the best candidate to face Underwood. Better a woman (Rezin) to face a woman (Underwood) than a white man.

Sue Rezin has a very good record of beating Democrats in Illinois (per https://ballotpedia.org/Sue_Reizin) and a good record overall while in the Illinois Senate over 10 years.

2010 56.75% Defeats incumbent Democrat Careen Gordon for House seat
2012 53.8% Defeats Democrat Christine Benson for Senate seat
2016 57.91% Defeats Democrat Christine Benson AGAIN for Senate seat
2018 59.4% Defeats Democrat Heidi Henry for Senate seat
(Although elected to the House in Nov 2010, she was appointed to a Senate seat in Dec 2010.)

Finally, Sue Rezin, unlike Lauren will not, will never take orders from Democrat Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi has been notorious for many ridiculous actions and rhetoric while Speaker of the U.S. House. Most famous perhaps was her outrageous demand of Democrat U.S. Representatives to vote to approve the ACA Obamacare Bill without bothering to examine it for all of its flaws. She said to them that they have to pass the Bill to find out what was in it. Recklessness to the extreme. And then, most recently, she approved the kangaroo court run by Adam Schiff to impeach the president.

The primary election win by Sue and Sue’s defeat of Lauren will help the Republicans to take back the U.S. House of Representatives.

  13. The word rack, or its derivatives, should not be used in sentences that have anything to do with her.

I’d have to think long, and hard before making the same statement about Lauf.

  14. Bred you’d rather have Rezin, huh?

Wow, you get suckered by the identity politics.

How about a ‘ ‘conservative’ black lesbian, then to run against a whacko black lesbian like U.

  15. In a few months these elections won’t mean a damn thing!
