IL-14: Post-Election Message from Anthony Catella

From former 14th District Republican congressional candidate Anthony Catella:

Anthony Catella

Well, Catella for Congress and Catalina for Congress.

When I first met Catalina on the campaign trail I introduced myself by saying, “Catalina for Congress, meet Catella for Congress.”

I am sure it was a good run for her as I know it was for me.

Thanks Cal for posting my letter.

In politics it takes all kinds and one meets all kinds.

While I like everyone, not everyone will always agree but I will always be good natured.

I remember in High School 33 years ago when I first started taking leadership and speaking roles, I was concerned that some of my friends would not understand and make fun of me, and my uncle told me this is why most of the population do not step forward to be leaders because of the craven fear of being great.

So 33 years later I spent the better half of a year campaigning for the US Congress.

And behold, a fellow HS classmate of mine saw my website and emailed me to say He always knew I had it in me.

Thanks old friend.

As for the future I have faith in Anthony Catella, I have faith in Illinios, I have faith in America because I have faith in God.

Thank you and many blessings to you all!

  1. There will be no Illinois in the future.

    It is dead.

Soon it will buried. Not with a bang but a Pritzker simper.

  2. I found it hard to believe District 14th republikkklan voters refused to elect such a non-schizophrenic candidate to represent them in Congress. After all, few people are so skilled desecrating the flag of the United States by rubbing it all over his own body. After all, I am proud to be one of the first commenters on this sunshine blog to publicly endorse cow milker Oberweis in the republikkklan primary. He will now proudly march to be defeated by Honorable Congresswoman and accomplished professional nurse Lauren Underwood next November. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meeeeeeoooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww…

  3. Great response Mr Catella. You have great credentials when it comes to some of the most important traits any politician, or person for that matter, should have at their core, Honesty, Integrity, Bravery, and Love of Country and God—Priest, Army Officer background, its amazing even Angel can find fault with you. Nice play too sir, on your closing with the Tic Tock Tic Tock…Good Luck to you in the Future, wherever it takes you.

  4. Mr. Catella is a class act, and a man of conviction to still run for Congress and knowing full well he wouldn’t win, but he ran anyway.

Hopefully, Mr. Catella will participate in local Civil War reenactment/pageants later this year, post coronavirus crisis as an ongoing tribute for the soldiers of our great country, of whom he was one and still serves in the Indiana Guard Reserve.

  5. “Hopefully, Mr. Catella will participate in local Civil War reenactment/pageants later this year, post coronavirus crisis as an ongoing tribute for the soldiers of our great country, of whom he was one and still serves…” George Carlin said it best when stating it was about time these reenactments used real ammunition. It is an ongoing tribute after all, then why not use real artillery? If we want to honor soldiers, let’s use the real artillery. We are honoring soldiers…or is it war? We know these republikkklans too well…stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, hug your neighbor, tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meeeeeeoooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww…

  6. To my detractor Angel, the reason why we don’t use real ammunition in reenactments is because that was done once in the real deal and we reenactors like marching away from the battlefield with no holes in us except the ones that were intended.
