From the Village of Oakwood Hills:

“On Wednesday April 8th at 2:30 PM the Prairie Grove Bus drivers will be driving their routes, honking horns and waving at the students.

“If you are available please have your children stand out on your driveways and wave back to their friendly bus driver.

“All children and families are welcome to participate.

“Let’s show Prairie Grove School and the Bus Drivers our support.”

  1. Let’s drive the buses around town and waste fuel.

It’s a feel good exercise for everybody !

  2. How silly.

Will a camera crew from the county newspaper be on board recording the children and parents waving.

Adults/parents standing with their children could also wave with one hand and show the driver their pack of Lark cigarettes (“Show us your Lark”).

On the other hand, citizens could show their support for the REAL DRIVER HEROES.

The real acknowledgement and thanks to drivers ought to be “Truck Drivers” who daily and through decades deliver almost everything we citizens and children consume. From food, milk, to pharmaceuticals to hardware and furniture and on and on. They drive the big semis on the highways and smaller trucks such as UPS straight to our homes. They do this day after day, 365 days a year AND currently through our current Virus Pandemic sometimes risking their own health at terminal destination points.

In these times, if we want to salute anyone, it should be all truck drivers. Maybe Prairie Grove could get a semi truck driver on his/her day off to drive his/her Peterbuilt or Kenworth tractor around their village and have everyone along the route salute them.

  3. Hilarious insight into the relationship between the industry that’s bankrupted your home values and the idiots that depend on it’s free day care.

  4. Dumbest thing I ever heard of, after Townships in the the 21st century!

Do these lamebrain parents understand they are paying for this stunt!

Typical fool antic from an IEA nitwit!

  5. Maybe this all started innocently enough with a first grader saying to her parent, “Momeee, I miss getting on the school bus every day and going to school”. Lightbulb goes on above Momeee’s head. “Gee, wouldn’t it be a good idea to let the Meghan and other kids see the school bus drive by their house. I think I will call the union teacher of my Meghan and see what can be done.”

  6. Not often do I agree with Abe, DJ, and Bred, but these are silly times.

    I miss Tacos El Norte…

can I get a government vehicle and driver to swing by my house with a Combinación Poblano?

  7. More waste!

I hope we stay with virtual learneing we won’t need these leeches anymore either to suck out tax dollars!

  8. Has the school district gone Full Mental?

    Yes they have.

Why don’t they try horse drawn carts next because we no longer have those either.
