In case you missed it, last Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Charlotte police arrested Pro-Life pregnancy counselors who were lawfully assembled and socially distant compliant outside of an abortion clinic that was deemed a necessary service by the governor and the mayor.
One of the men arrested was David Benham, of the Benham Brothers who operates a legal charity in Charlote, Cities4Life™ which seeks to bring the light of the Gospel to abortion centers – the darkest places in the city of Charlotte.

Senator Ted Cruz (R, TX) quickly became involved in this clear attack on the unborn let alone the 1st amendment, and now for Patriots who seek to defend the unborn through legal methods, even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, arrests were made.

Then Monday morning, the Charlotte Observer published the editorial titled “Ted Cruz isn’t just wrong about an NC abortion protest and COVID-19 rules. He’s shameless”
To which Cruz responded to the Observer editorial Monday night, via Twitter, transcribed below:
“Charlotte newspaper editorial demonstrates dishonesty of today’s media.
“They say it’s just neutral ‘public health’ concerns that allow Dems to arrest the Benham Brothers for peacefully speaking for life.
“The newspaper says that’s ‘not essential’
“BUT they ignore that NC Dem Gov has wrongly deemed elective abortion ‘essential,’ allowing abortion doctors & staff to gather in larger groups.
“IF providing abortions is essential, then peacefully giving pregnant women counseling on alternatives to abortion is ALSO ‘essential.'”

As Holy Week concludes today with Holy Thursday, tomorrow’s Good Friday and Easter Sunday, for the cause of life and the unborn, there is persecution against men and women, like David Benham, taking place right here in the United States.
