The Riley Township Annual Town Meeting has been postponed

On Tuesday, April 7th Governor Pritzker released Executive Order 2020-22 addressing the Annual Town Meeting which was scheduled for April 14, 2020.

The order specifically states the following: Section1:  The provisions of the Township Code, 60 ILCS 1/30-5(a) and 30-5(b), requiring that each township’s annual meeting for calendar year 2020 be held on either April 14, 2020 or April 21,2020 are SUSPENDED through the duration of the Gubernatorial Disaster Proclamation.

Therefore, the April 14, 2020 Annual Town Meeting is canceled until the Governor instructs us as to when it will be safe to hold public gatherings. I will send out an eblast once the new date has been set. Please be sure to follow the Governor’s stay at home rules so we can overcome this pandemic.
