McHenry County Republican Party Chairman Diane Evertsen said she would not serve more than two terms on the McHenry County Board.
She stepped down after those two terms.
Now, having completed two terms heading the GOP, she is not running for re-election.
Stepping up to the plate, unopposed, is Durham Township Republican Precinct Committeeperson Tyler M. Wilke.
Wilke is a fairly newly-minted attorney from a farming backgound.
And, he is from a township where citizens are satisfied with township government, just as Evertsen is.
Also unopposed before the Wednesday night call in meeting are
- Chuck Wheeler for Vice Chairman, the incumbent from McHenry Township
- Karen Tirio for Secretary, the incumbent from Dorr Township
- Timothy Beck for Treasurer, McHenry Township
Diane will be missed
Diane allowed everything to piss out. And why wouldn’t she, her husband is on the township pension tit.
She let Orville down. Everybody in Algonquin had had enough of her.
I can’t figure out why she always stuck up for Kenneally and Bob Miller.
She wouldn’t have been re-relected if she tried.

This is the man who is charged with delivering a strong Republican showing for Jim Oberweis, and the entire Republican ticket, in November.
In the 14th district congressional primary, Dunham Township was won by James Marter and Catalina Lauf came in 2nd, so Oberweis was not the first or second choice among Dunham Township Republican primary voters.
John they were given options to save themselves but now you just have to let them fall on their own swords before any really change will come.
However by then this county will be blue.
