Jim Oberweis offers to send Speaker Pelosi ice cream if she goes to Washington D.C. to help small businesses
Sugar Grove, IL – Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) took to social media recently and opened her freezer revealing a stockpile of ice cream which gave Jim Oberweis an idea.
If Speaker Pelosi loves ice cream so much maybe some free ice cream would be enough to lure her back to Washington D.C. to vote to help small businesses keep paying their employees.
“I think we can solve two problems – Speaker Pelosi’s need for ice cream and the need for Congress to vote on reupping available funds for the small business loan program,” Oberweis said.
“Nancy Pelosi needs to get back to D.C. now. If she calls Congress back this week to help our small businesses, I will buy her ice cream at any of our Oberweis Dairy stores for the whole year or anytime she comes to campaign for Congresswoman Underwood in the 14th District.
“In fact, I will even send her favorite flavors to her in D.C.
“And there is no doubt Oberweis Dairy ice cream will be better than anything she has in her freezer.”
Democrats are currently blocking efforts to provide an additional $250 billion to the small business loan program with partisan demands.
“This should be a no brainer,” Oberweis said.
“Our small businesses need help.
“Now is the time for leadership – not partisan politics.
“Speaker Pelosi needs to get back to Washington D.C. and help our hurting small businesses and help President Trump save jobs and stop playing politics.”
Isn’t that some kind of bribe?

Democrats in US House of Representatives once in a while have a candidate of their own Party that steps forward to run for position of Speaker. But, alas, Democrat Representatives are too stupid to elect a better Speaker and instead stay with the incompetent Pelosi.
Her epitaph, which will be remembered for centuries, was the grossly negligent and reckless statement and command to her Democrat herd, “You will have to pass this bill (obamacare) to find out what is in it”. With her command and her Democrat House majority, it was Done. Then, after it was passed, and needed signing by the president, creepy Joe Biden on live tv and with a microphone nearby, said to Obama, “This a big fu–ing deal”.
An example, one of numerous, of dumb Democrat politicians is US Rep Johnson from Georgia.
During a House Armed Services Committee hearing on March 25, 2010 concerning the U.S. military installation on the island of Guam, Johnson said to Admiral Robert F. Willard, Commander of U.S. Pacific Command, “My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize”.

I disregarded MsTrumpion’s comment at first because I do agree that legislators should legislate, but looking back at it I realized Oberweis was calling for more than that.
He’s not just saying Congress should convene so they can debate issues (which is what they’re paid so much money to do).
He’s telling Pelosi to pass legislation for a somewhat specific purpose and in exchange he will pay the Speaker ice cream.
I’m sure this was a bad joke on Oberweis’s part, but from a legal point of view could this actually be interpreted as a bribe?
It doesn’t seem far-fetched.
Like if I were to approach Jack Franks and ask him to increase spending on county roads and offered him fishing rods in exchange, how would that be different than what Oberweis did and would I be allowed to do that?
