Attorney General Reveals Names of Mayors/Village Presidents Who Don’t Want to Abide by the Freedom of Information Act

Below are the Illinois Mayors and Village Presidents who want to weaken the transparency statute by fiat.

They were asked to sign the following form letter from the Illinois Municipal League, whose members have never been fans of the Freedom of Information Act:

Only the City of Chicago took a lot of time with its letter.

Most of the others were cut and paste jobs.

In a number of cases there were duplicate letters, ones written by both the Mayor and the municipalities attorney. The Attorneys have been identified.

There may be duplicate listings for some towns because of that.

  1. Sunshine blogger, where are the salaries? I mean, let’s make this a real sunshine story. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, hug a blogger, tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meeeeeeoooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww…

  2. Of course Big Government socialists and incurable taxaholics like Jett & Hettermann are culpable.

  3. Gee, why would some of these communities want an extension of time during a freaking pandemic??

Could it be their staff aren’t even in the office to research FOIA requests right now?

    OMG, people!

How about a sense of proportion at least once in a while, instead of constantly demonizing government and its employees??

In case some of you didn’t notice, there’s an EMERGENCY (an immediate threat to life and health) going on!

That means limited resources are prioritized.

    THINK!!

  4. Hey Mark, finishe my FOIA requeston your boss, the little hamlet Franks!
