Coroner Seeks Help in Identifying Man Who Hanged Himself Near Harvard

McHenry County John Doe Case #19-073

The McHenry County Coroner’s Office is requesting assistance from the public in identifying an adult male who was found deceased in McHenry County.

See “Man Found Hanged at Rush Creek Conservation Area Near Harvard.”

On May 4, 2019, the McHenry County Coroner’s Office was requested by the McHenry County Conservation Police to respond to Rush Creek Conservation Area, Harvard, Illinois, in reference to a death investigation.

Unidentified man.

The death was determined not to be suspicious.

The remains are that of an unidentified white male between 50 – 70 years of age.

He has short grey head and facial hair.

He is approximately 5′ 10” tall and weighs 224
pounds.

The McHenry County Coroner’s Office attempted to identify the decedent using fingerprints, dental examinations, and DNA analysis, but were met with negative results.

The McHenry County Coroner’s Office in coordination with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Forensic Imaging Unit compiled a digital facial reconstruction.
