Mask Refusal in Woodstock Store

From the Illinois Retail Merchants Association via Capitol Fax:

Woodstock—Customers Verbally Abused Employees

  • Thru the first day and a half we have had approximately 10 customers who were verbally confrontational. I have not heard of or seen any police presence regarding the matter either.

Mask Refusal in Woodstock Store — 52 Comments

  1. Over the frontier in Wisconsin today, I had to pick up some boat batteries in Janesville, and guess what, face masks are not required.

Store personnel are wearing them, customers are optional.

The fact that JB is lumping McHenry County into the Chicago & Cook county lockdown is ridiculous.

Of interest, sales tax is 5.5% and people are friendly.

And what is all this Latinx bullshit JB is advocating for on his daily bs tv presser?

  2. It seems to me JB and the one party rule of Illinois by the Democrats has one goal.

And that is to totally destroy Illinois until it is just burnt carbon.

    Cluelessness is rampant

  3. No one can demand you wear anything. They have no authority to do that. The ADA and HIPPA will stand behind you. The ADA will fine them $75,000.00 for a first offense if you state that you cannot wear a mask and they still refuse you. 800-514-0301.

This whole fiasco is a total hoax and anyone that promotes this hoax is guilty of treason.

No one is going to take my God-given rights from me and certainly NOT for a trumped-up hoax to forward their evil agenda.

Cal your story here is backward. Who was verbally abusing who? You have it enmeshed and state it both ways. What????

  4. CAL!!!!

Why would you fantasize about a scenario where a police presence would be involved?

    Are you encouraging GESTAPO tactics?

    Who’s side are you on?

The Constitution or the new world order?

  5. I don’t think he’s fantasizing about anything.

Just stating what was already posted.

“Verbally confrontational” could mean a number of things.

Most of the people on Capitol Fax get hurt feelings and cry just from telling them “no”.

Behind a keyboard, on the other hand, they pretend to not be tiny and weak.

  6. I’ve wearing my mask every time I come to this toxic, garbage racism-infested sunshine blog; it saved my life. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, hug a blogger, tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meeeeeeoooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww…

  7. Stores are customer/sales/profit/staying in business centric, just wear the friggin’ mask.

Those poor employees are just trying to keep their jobs and feed their families.

Share your opinion but don’t abuse people just trying to make a living.

Go protest on JB’s doorstep. And all those on this blog should encourage behavior that is properly and effectively directed.

  8. Stores can require you to wear mask because of their own policy.

It is their business whether you like it or not.

Ever hear of no shirt no shoes no service.

If you are for businesses freedom to conduct business the way they want then let them.

You don’t have to purchase merchandise at their stores and you can shop somewhere else because you have that freedom.

  9. Let me get this straight, we’re letting child rapists & murderers out of jail bc of the fake coronavirus, but we’re putting hair stylists and mask refusers in jail bc of covid19.

    JB must go!

  10. Let’s make Pletz our county Covid czar! He knows everything and everybody needs his idiocy.

  11. Make Pletz our honorary JB personal representative to snitch to Fatso about everything we’re doing wrong in his jaundiced, rheumy eyes.

  12. Say, fools? This is NOT about that! This is about fools actually making chit up and thinking this is how the Ministry of Truth works. Haters vs nonhaters is their big go-to for cranking up the masses. How many times do you have to have it suggested to you before you catch on to their dangerous game? You are being set up once again. It is the false paradigm they ALWAYS use for their divide and conquer.

Sorry, but copy and pasting two lines from Capitol Fax is NOT going to straighten this out. This story doesn’t even make any sense. Who is abusing who? This is innuendo that is just garbage! You cannot even tell which end is up with smear propaganda like this! The whole topic is a nonissue they are trying to crank up. Weird things we’ve heard and then they just repeat? No wonder Cal is giving out useless infotainment.

  13. For those who don’t want to wear a mask, find a store or stores specifically for morons.

That would be where no employee wears a mask, no shields for cashiers and has signs on doors stating that customers cannot wear masks.

  14. bred winner: A week ago, every store was a store for “morons”.

Were you afraid to be among the morons?

  15. Never EVER forget those that took your freedoms from you. This is including the morons that are too stupid to see that they have become a part of with this new world order agenda over NOTHING! NOTHING! That’s what you surrendered your freedom over! Brainwashed, stupid, dumb as a bag of hammers people like bred that would have you live in tyranny because they are not critical thinkers. How many times can you drooling fools go through the divide and conquer before you become slightly aware that you are being played like a fiddle whilst the “elite” class are all laughing at you!!

  16. **we’re putting hair stylists and mask refusers in jail bc of covid19. JB must go!**

LOL – what does the first sentence have to do with the second sentence?

What hair stylists and mask refuses have been put in jail by JB, or anywhere in IL?

  17. AlabamaShake still doesn’t get that nobody takes their comments seriously by beginning each one with “LOL”.

I have a question for you.

What does your usage of a prepubescent, nonsensical acronym have to do with anything at all?

I’m surprised that children have such an interest in political matters these days,

  18. I actually prefer “ROFLAMAO”, to be honest. True sign of intellectual superiority.

  19. Alabama, quit flinging your primate feces at this blog. Your antics have become quite tiresome. Go shine Jack Franks’ shoes or polish his horns.

  20. I love how no one can answer my question.

I also love how Some Guy attacks me for being “prepubescent” because I use LOL, yet ignores all the racism, ignores all the antisemitism, and ignores all the childish personal attacks that people constantly make on this blog. And, in fact, has often resorted to childish personal attacks himself.

But, also, yes I do find it laughable that someone is attacking JB (and not the conservative Republican Governor of TX) for hairstylists being put in jail.

    But you do you.

  21. Alabama,

I’m simply trying to help so that nobody assumes that you might be a basement dweller. It’s no skin off my back.

As for the “racism”, “antisemitism”, etc. I’m not interested in made-up accusations that are used to try to shut down discussion because someone doesn’t like what they read. It’s a basement dweller tactic to use those terms.

As for Texas; I don’t agree with the Republican Gov., but that’s not the point. I’m pretty sure that a few of us have indicated that we don’t agree with them. It’s not partisan for me; But I think that you claimed that it was about life rather than economics, right? Maybe I’m mixing you up with a basement dweller that trolls the blog.

  22. It is about life. Not sure what your point is though? Above someone blamed JB for putting hairstyles and mask refusers in jail. That still is laughable. I stand by that.

As for “made up accusations” – I don’t have to make anything up. Many on this blog show us who they are pretty much every day.

But few free to continue the prepubescent, nonsensical “basement dweller” silliness. Again – I’m pretty sure I’ve never made a personal attack on this blog (unless you consider telling Cindy to buy some tinfoil a personal attack). I stick to substance. That appears to be too difficult for the many of the commenters here.

I attack lies and bad ideas. You and others attack people because they disagree with you.

  23. I actually like disagreement, provided it’s got intelligent information to back it up. I don’t attack anyone. I just let them use their own words to dig themselves into a hole.

Referring to someone as a “racist” or “antisemitic” are about the most extreme attacks that someone can use to personally harm. Not sure how you can’t see that they are among the most hateful things that someone could possibly say. Fortunately they are starting to get to a point where they are becoming meaningless now because people are starting to take them worth a grain of salt. It’s certainly hateful to say, but the more you keep flinging baseless accusations around, they eventually lose all value.

  24. I have no problem calling out racism and antisemitism — sorry you find that so extreme and hateful, but I can point out numerous specific examples of it if you’d like. The hate is from those that use bigotry over and over again on this blog.

It is not hateful to point out the racism when someone says, “Underwood comes from the most uninvolved culture in US History! The Black Race.” It is not extreme to point out the antisemitism when people – over and over again – point out that Jack Franks is Jewish whenever they attack him. It is not hateful to point out the racism when someone says, “Are we USSR yet with Fatty Pritzker and his negro healthcare buffoon Ngoze Egoyre or something like that?”

There are NUMEROUS examples of blatant racism and antisemitism on this blog if you’d like more. The hate and extremism lie in the hateful and extremist racism and antisemitism, not in pointing out what it is.

But, again, attack me for using LOL at laughable things, and you be perfectly okay with all the personal attacks, racism, and antisemitic crap. Because we wouldn’t want you to be too “hateful” or “extreme” by pointing it out. 🙄

  25. Alabama, the way you treat others and the way you can’t seem to treat people with decency show just how much hate you actually have inside; Not the other way around.

You can pretend it’s noble and righteous but one man’s hate is just as bad as another man’s hate. If you’ve got hate for one person you’ve got it for all.

  26. By the way: Before this past week, I’ve only been lurking occasionally to read news. It seems that a lot of the tension has ramped up since everyone’s locked inside.

I’ve got no qualms with also calling out people who say hateful stuff, if I witness it. But more often than not I just see extreme leftists referring to people en masse as “KKK” or similar. It’s ludicrous.

It’s not a one-sided thing. You can’t pretend that one extreme is any worse than another.

  27. Some Guy – I’ve pointed out absurd behavior on both sides. I’ve called out folks who make fun of Gasser for being fat. I’ve called out Angel for being, well Angel. And I’ve zero love for Jack Franks. And I’ve called folks being racist and antisemitic. Amazingly all of the numerous examples of blatant racism and antisemitism are never seen by you to call out though.

I don’t refer to anyone en masse as “KKK.” But I do call it out when it is blatant and explicit, as it so often is on this blog. And frankly – I do not believe that you have never witnessed it.

And it is incredibly ironic that you – of the numerous personal attacks against me that have had nothing to do with any of the substance other than you disagree me – say that I don’t treat people decently.

Once again – I stick to attacking ideas.

Sometimes I do that with snark, but I always deal with the ideals.

You, on the other hand, have attacked people rather than ideas – numerous times.

    But again, go ahead.

    You do you.

  28. Hey Alabama? You could have called some guy out for spelling ROFLMAO wrong. How did that one get by you?

  29. Cindy. I don’t typically call out typos. I do typically call out conspiracy theories not based on science.

  30. Alabama, I still don’t think that you get it. The only thing that you’ve received from me is comments regarding your behavior. I honestly know nothing about you except for the fact that you’ve got hate that’s really misplaced, and you’ve come up with ways to justify it. Only hateful and angry people use words like “racist”. They’ve simply been brainwashed into thinking that it’s acceptable hate because amoral people are convinced that what they are doing is somehow moral by taking on some sort of crusade in identity politics.

I suspect that we have very different definitions of the word “moral”, but I digress.

Liberals seem to find words to be hurtful, especially if they include less than positive comments about so-called “oppressed” groups. But meanwhile they use the word game tactics with make believe nouns on their enemies to try to shut them down.

When I was a kid we sang: “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.” Seems to be a lesson that today’s kids are missing out on, but instead they retort with “LOL!” and “You are racist!”

At any rate. Would you have any problem responding to someone in person with the comments that you make? I know that I would have no problem with mine. By all means, “LOL” away, if you will, and point your finger right at someone’s face and call them a “racist”. Let me know how that goes down.

  31. Alabama, I can agree with you on some of the conspiracy theories, at least. Many are certainly outlandish.

  32. AlabamaShake for the win again! Hilariously, republikkklans bringing out the “I-do-not-see-racism” card again. This is what makes this sunshine blog so entertaining; the fact that some folks are compelled to even begin to explain why it is our duty to confront racism head on before we get used to it. Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, hug a blogger, tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meeeeeeoooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww…

  33. Boy yo sure learn a lot from a public health vrisis.

Cindy needs to sacrifice herself to save us all

  34. ** Would you have any problem responding to someone in person with the comments that you make? I know that I would have no problem with mine. By all means, “LOL” away, if you will,**

If someone blamed JB for jailing hairstylists to my face? Yea – I’d have no problem laughing at them. And then I’d explain that such thing happened in TX under a conservative republican governor. Not in IL.

**and point your finger right at someone’s face and call them a “racist”.**

And if someone said the explicitly racist crap that I highlighted above? Yes, I’d call them a racist and ask WTF is wrong with them. And, you know what? I bet most of these commenters would never dream about making statements like that in public either.

  35. Maybe time to get back to masks in Woodstock stores. Also, in Crystal Lake, Cary, etc. Who on this blog will come forward and say they do not wear a mask?

  36. I won’t name the stores, but when I asked the lady at the service counter who was wearing a mask, under her chin, she said no problem.

Several other employees were not wearing masks at all, so I felt comfortable without, along with about 10% of the customers.

The more and more I read and understand about Bill Gates sponsored “Event 201” and Rockefellers “ Operation Lockstep” and Bill Gates desire to vaccinate the entire world with the help of his minions Dr. Fauci and the WHO…etc. the more I see the mask as symbolic of loss of freedom.

Please don’t call me a conspiracy theorist, the correct phrase is “conspiracy analyst”.

For the most concise and intelligent information, please search YouTube for James Corbett, Kim Iversen, Amazing Polly, Last American Vagabond, and the hardest working guy online. Jason Bermas! The government lied to the world about JFK, Vietnam, The USS Liberty,
9-11 (Building #7 is THE smoking gun!)

Why should I trust them now???

And why isn’t Pres. Trump investigating Dr. Fauci connections with Gates?

If these citizen journalists can, surely his staff could. Maybe Jarred is calling the shots?

  37. Alabama: I’m tired of a glutton like Pritzker telling Christian pastors they can’t worship. The fact that Pritzker is an atheist Jew like Leon Trotsky (who murdered thousands of Christians himself) is something you like to hide. Why? I’m wondering how such a small minority controls so much, including 75 % of the country’s wealth.

  38. Gary you are right about the creepy Fauci, the Gates Foundation whore and Hillary devotee.

The 79 year old is really something.

Why does the Deep State still keep in the picture?

  39. Gary, don’t forget about the anthrax attack shortly after 9/11, ultimately traced back to Fort Detrick, or the fake WMD in Iraq used to stampede us into another war for Israel.

  40. bred? You are a mind-controlled bonafide moron. You need to shut off your teevee! BOTH my husband and I NEVER WILL WEAR a mask. ALSO, our neighbors (who we hug all the time) NEVER wear masks. It tells the world that you are not for freedom and you are a sheep that believes the propaganda of the new world order. It’s VERY unhealthy for you and you look like a fool! I don’t even know anyone that wears a mask. The people I know are too smart to fall for this hoax and this ridiculous infringement on your health!

  41. As someone who has traveled from McHenry to either Chicago and Milwaukee for most of my working career, all I can say is that people need to stop acting like infantalized adults claiming their rights are being impeded.

It’s funny how it’s in favor for people to refuse services when it’s a wedding cake for a gay couple, but when it’s applied to these anti-maskers it’s “tyranny.”

McHenry county has a lot of commuters that come in and go in every cardinal direction.

It’s a simple practice to wear a mask.

It’s mental derangement to verbally or physically attack someone over it.

  42. So this is where the wackos from McHenry County virtually hang out.

Keep in mind wackos, these stores are private property and can require you to wear a mask.

If you do not like it, tough, find another store that will cater to your insane Trump Death Cult views.

Lastly, an inconvenience is not the same as taking your rights away.

Get over it babies or move to Florida.

  43. **I’m tired of a glutton like Pritzker telling Christian pastors they can’t worship.**

Gov Pritzker has done no such thing. You don’t need to be in groups of more than 10 or more to worship. And if you, your theology is pretty messed up.

**The fact that Pritzker is an atheist Jew like Leon Trotsky (who murdered thousands of Christians himself) is something you like to hide.**

Sigh… Some Guy – you good with this one?

  44. Pritzker has threatened to yank people’s business licenses if they don’t comply.

Dan, you’re acting like these stores are completely voluntarily requiring masks when it started as a state order.

If it weren’t for the state’s order, maybe some of them would require it and some wouldn’t.

You saying “find another store that will cater to your insane Trump Death Cult views” is insincere since the pro-lockdown crowd doesn’t want people to have a right to do that at all.

  45. “No one can demand you wear anything.”

Oh really? Try walking around in public without your crotch covered.

There already are rules/ordinances/laws in the books requiring body parts be covered in public. Now it is mouth/nose.

It is legal. There is precedent.
