Did “Outlander’s” Col. Tryon Inspired Pritzker to Limit Public Gatherings to Ten People?

William Tryon

To cope with an uprising in western North Carolina in the series “Outlander,” Colonel William Tryon imposed a ten-person limit on public gatherings.

That was before the United States was created out of our Revolution.

Tryon was the Governor of North Carolina, appointed by the British government, serving from 1765-1771.

Did Illinois Governor JB Pritzker come up with is idea to control public gatherings from the series?
