IL-14: Pinning the Extremist Label on Lauren Underwood

From 14th District Republican congressional candidate Jim Oberweis:

Jim Oberweis: Report shows Rep. Underwood one of the least bipartisan members of Congress

Sugar Grove, IL – During her first month in office, Nancy Pelosi protégé US Rep. Lauren Underwood, said in an interview that she was committed to bipartisanship, but a new report shows her record is anything but bipartisan, according to Jim Oberweis.

“I believe that what we seek to accomplish in the Congress should be done on a bipartisan basis,” Underwood stated in a January 2019 WNIU radio interview.

“We’ve begun that outreach to other Republican freshmen in particular.

“They have a number of incoming folks that we’ve had a chance to get to know.

“And I’m excited about working with my new colleagues doing that.”

But the McCourt School Bipartisan Index House Scores for 116th Congress First Session (2019) from the Lugar Center ranks Lauren Underwood 344th out of 437 members for bipartisanship.

“Clearly, Lauren Underwood’s talk about bipartisanship was just that – talk,” Oberweis said.

“Lauren Underwood continues to demonstrate that she is too extreme for this district.

“She votes in lockstep with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and clearly is not interested in finding workable, bipartisan solutions to the issues facing our nation, and is instead focused on extreme, partisan policies that are not in line with the views of the voters of this district.”

Oberweis said he is a committed to a different approach.

“The political realities of Washington D.C. are that the only way to get major pieces of legislation to move forward is to have some sort of bipartisan agreement,” Oberweis said.

“Bipartisanship is not always possible, but it should at least be tried. Underwood’s abysmal record shows she is not even interested in trying to work with Republicans.

“We can and should do better.

“When I get to Washington D.C., I will be focused on getting results – not ramping up partisan rhetoric.”

  1. She’s certainly a Christian hating (but Islam and ISIS loving) cultural marxist, but oddly NOT as extreme as the castanets playing Casten.

Get a good look at her new ‘roommate’ btw!

  2. Pinto, I don’t know if you can honestly say she’s not as extreme as Casten.

My understanding is that she has possibly the most extremely Leftist voting record in Congress.

  3. Carsten is indeed worse.

Plus he’s a lot smarter than nitwit Undercrud.

Cssten’s votes are worse and his rhetoric is worse.

Underloser is basically keeping quiet these days because she’s so damn dumb.

Did you see who her new handler is?

A militant lesbian into leather ‘arts.’

  4. Does this lady hang out with far left wing extreme Democrat Congress ladies named: AOC, Omar, Pressley, Tlaib known as the Squad? AOC is famous for her absurd Green New Deal. On the day that Tlaib was sworn into office, she said about Trump, “We are going to impeach the motherf—–.”
