Jim Oberweis calls on opponent to disavow police defunding efforts
Sugar Grove, IL – Jim Oberweis, candidate for Congress in the 14th District, is calling on Rep. Lauren Underwood to reject nationwide efforts to defund police departments.
“Rep. Underwood continues her pattern of silence when it comes to the radical ideas of the far left,” Oberweis said.
“Rooting out racism in our society is something we all should support but we must also be careful not to let emotions lead to enacting bad ideas.
“Defunding and dismantling police departments is a really bad idea that even most Democrats don’t support.
“I stand opposed to defunding police departments and I think it is time for Rep. Underwood to tell us where she stands on this issue.”
At a recent rally, Lauren Underwood’s socialist squad pal Ilhan Omar, went on record to say
“The Minneapolis Police Department is rotten to the root, and so when we dismantle it, we get rid of that cancer, and we allow for something beautiful to rise, and that reimagining allows us to figure out what public safety looks like for us.”
Oberweis says Underwood needs to tell her constituents where she stands on Congresswoman Omar’s outrageous remarks.
“It is really simple – does Rep. Underwood stand with the socialist squad in support of defunding the police or does she stand with the majority of her constituents?” Oberweis said.
“Her silence on this is baffling.”
So Lauren is responsible for anything anyone says?

That’s what Speaker Pelosi said on Monday answering questions about defund the police, and we all know Congresswoman Underwood does not do anything apart from Pelosi, and she issued statement Monday afternoon where she stood on the legislation, so she hasn’t been silent.
Also, the last person who tried this guilt by association of Underwood with the Squad members was Catalina Lauf, when asked in a late February interview video where Congresswoman Underwood stood on Israel.
Lauf gave a rambling answer of given Underwood associated with the Squad, Underwood is against Israel too.
But 7 months prior, Underwood voted for the House resolution AGAINST the BDS of Israel movement that Omar, AOC, Tlaib and few other leftwingers at the losing end of a bipartisan supermajority of support for Israel, including Underwood.
Something similar here, except no votes have been cast, yet, on Justice in Policing Act.

Underwood as well as vast majority of Democrat Representatives are stooges. They take orders from Pelosi and vote accordingly. We saw this in the early term of the Barak Hussein Obama regime wherein Democrats voted for Obamacare. The reckless and incompetent Pelosi said to her Democrat members that they had to vote to approve it in order to find out what was in it. It was a bill a couple of thousand pages long and based on the GRAND LIE of Hussein Obama that despite what the Bill said, if Americans liked their doctors and health care plans they could keep these. Of course, no such provision was in the Bill. Bottom line back then and today with Democrats wanting open borders, elimination of ICE and police department is that no American should trust ANY Democrat. Ever. They lie and are untrustworthy.
