Mount Rushmore was carved out of a sacred native site.
Burial, symbolic or something; point being after the land was conquered from them Americans carved faces into it.
George Washington is also well known for razing the native capital where the nation’s would gather to discuss politics/life/so on.
Question being, is destroying the faces furthering the destruction of what was sacred before?
