Subject Caught Climbing Radio Tower at Government Center
A 24-year-old Harvard man was detained after he was caught climbing the McHenry County Emergency Management Agency radio tower located at the McHenry County Government Center, 2200 North Seminary Avenue in Woodstock.
At 12:44 pm a McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputy observed the Harvard man as he scaled the fence which encloses the radio tower.
The man then proceeded to climb up the radio tower.
The Deputy immediately took action, with additional members of the Sheriff’s Office coming to the scene to assist.
A dialog was established with the man, and after a few minutes Deputies were able to talk him into climbing down from the tower.
Once on the ground the man attempted to run away, but was caught and detained.
It was determined that he was suffering from a mental health crisis so Woodstock Fire was requested to the scene.
He was subsequently transported to Northwestern Hospital in Woodstock.
At this time no charges have been filed.
He was trying to draw Putin’s attention to all the crooks in local Government here.
If incidents like this keep happening, what does this dysfunction mean going forward?
He could have been trying to disable the emergency communication radio tower.
