Skillicorn Calls for Madigan’s Resignation and for Return of His $250,000 in Campaign Financing to Opponent Ness

From State Rep. Allen Skillicorn:

MADIGAN MUST RESIGN

In light of the pay for play corruption scandal exposed in the ComEd indictment, State Representative Allen Skillicorn is calling on House Speaker Madigan to resign immediately.

Suzanne Ness

He further calls on all Democrats who received any direct and indirect funding from Madigan to return the money, including his opponent, Suzanne Ness, who has received around $250,000 from the Speaker earlier this year.

According to WBBM the U.S. Attorney’s office said in a release,

“ComEd admits it arranged jobs, vendor subcontracts, and monetary payments associated with those jobs and subcontracts, for various associates of ‘a high-level elected official for the state of Illinois,’ to influence and reward the official’s efforts to assist ComEd with respect to legislation concerning ComEd and its business.”

We all know who that high-level elected official is, as the feds continue to indict one after another of Madigan’s closest allies.

Skillicorn stated,

Allen Skillicorn

“It is finally time for Michael J. Madigan to be held accountable for decades of abusing the public trust, starting with his resignation as Speaker of the House.

“Our great state is a laughingstock as everyone knows Illinois isn’t a democracy, but a thugocracy ruled by Michael Madigan for over 30 years, which has led to its ruin.

“His minions, like my Democratic opponent have enabled and condoned this immoral behavior long enough.”

  1. Only a quarter million to turn a house seat in a once safe GOP Dist?

  2. Ness is a real mess.

She hopes the ‘whole Madigan thing’ blows over, so she can rant about BLM, white priv., transgender psychoses and the Redskins.

Get real Ness, time to fess!

  3. What needs to be constantly reported is that Madigan is a lifelong Democrat. He staunchly supported all Democrat candidates including Barak Hussein Obama. Trust no Democrat. Ever. Never.

  4. Calls to resign will likely go nowhere unless this guy is convicted in a court of law. A piece of garbage Democrat VA Governor last year was found to be clothed in Klan outfit and Black Face and was asked to resign. That went nowhere and the mostly corrupt main stream media backed off as did Democrat politicians. Trust no Democrat. Ever. Never. Democrats have a long history of racism going back to the era of Republican President Abraham Lincoln’s efforts to free the slaves which Democrats opposed.

  5. Hey kooky Bred, so what if somebody in college dressed in a klan costume.

Yes the VA Gov. is a piece of sh^t and should be tossed overboard bc of his traitorous policies and crimes.

I don’t give a damn that Democrats of yore were racist.

    So what!

Ever read what Lincoln had to say about blacks?

That was quite ‘racist’ by 2020 standards, but it was also true.

The cultural Marxists in charge of Illinois like Franks, Pritzker, Durbin, Duckworthless;, Biss, Lightidiot, Underworld-fake-nurse, pervert Casten, Kenneally, etc., etc.,

Illinois is lost… time to relocate NOW

  6. Hasso, just where are you going to relocate to?

Apart from maybe South Dakota, or maybe Alaska, there are not that many great red states left.

Look at Texas, it’s actually “in play” for the presidency this fall, and hasn’t gone Democrat since 1976.

The House districts, at least 12 are now seen as “competitive”, according to Cook Political Report’s ratings.

As mentioned in comments in another article, our friend “D J” is now in a highly competitive toss-up district in TX-24, and this district’s change has been dramatic since 2012.

Just something to think about when one says “time to relocate NOW”.

  7. This is huge progress by the FEDS.

Many thought Madigan would never be caught.

Let the Corruption Machine be put out of business!

  8. Surely, between 1971 and now, there’s something that can be nailed to Madigan. 😑

  9. The Daily Herald editorial says Madigan must go.

    https://www.dailyherald.com/discuss/20200718/editorial-it-can-be-denied-no-longer-speaker-madigan-must-go?utm_source=breaking%20news%20alert&utm_medium=email&utm_content=article%20column&utm_campaign=Breaking%20News%20Alert7%2F18%2F2020

    No.

    He should stay.

He should appear at campaign events for candidate Joe Biden and his VP, Dick Durbin, Lauren Underwood and many other Illinois Democrats running for election or re-election.

Madigan should also issue endorsements in writing for Biden, Durbin, etc.

Madigan “fairly” represents the current state of the Democrat Party in the US including numerous mayors and governors such as Deblasio of NY, the Democrat Mayors of Seattle, DC, Portland, etc.

Numerous Democrat politicians are incompetent and/or reckless as evidenced in their decisions or lack thereof especially in recent times.

  10. Madigan is running unopposed.

Go ask the patriotic rootin tootin Republicans why they didn’t even appoint someone to run against him.

That means even if enough voters finally turned on Madigan because of some wild unforeseeable scandal that definitely wasn’t happening several months ago and before election deadlines, voters wouldn’t even be able to get rid of him because nobody else is on the ballot.

So because of Republican laziness, a man named in a bribery scandal resulting in a 200 million dollar fine is guaranteed to win another election.

Be sure to thank the rootin tootin Republican Party for that one! Give them a round of applause.

Madigan likely wouldn’t be charged and convicted (if at all) until after the election, which means he is guaranteed another term in the House because he is unopposed.

    Womp womp womp waaaaaaaahmp.

Thank you Mr. Patriot tea party gun slingin biscuit eatin rootin tootin Republican Party.

Thank you for defending AMERICA against the DEMOCRATS!

    I salute you!

How could we ever fight the Democrats without the high IQ geniuses of the Illinois Republican Party, who by the way do a GREAT job at winning elections here???

Anyway, JB’s “if true” comment about Madigan’s guilt and resigning was a BLESSING for Madigan because it implies he should stay around (even though he’s been there for 50 years and we all know he’s corrupt) *unless* he is charged and convicted.

It gives Madigan an excuse to stick around, which he probably would have to begin with because that’s all he knows, he has no morals, and his title is the source of his money and power, but with Pritzker’s “if true” comment, it’s even more likely that Madigan will stick around because now if he resigns it will look like he is *admitting* guilt!

Pritzker did NOT throw Madigan under the bus with his comments, despite what the Merlot sipping DUMMIES in both parties are tweeting and tee-heeing about.

On the contrary, Pritzker threw Madigan a lifeline with that comment.

So now I think the best political route to get rid of Madigan would be if enough Democratic representatives decided they will not support Madigan again for Speaker.

I don’t think he would be okay with just being a house rep; he wants the power.

If he gets the impression that they won’t support him for Democratic Party Chairman and/or Speaker of the House, he may decide to resign or retire.

    AHEM!

Cal, the article says 4 house members and 3 senators have asked Madigan to resign

I’m not sure if you caught that Kelly Cassidy asked for Madigan to resign.

He’s going to have a meeting with the Democrats in the House.

One Democrat told him he should not resign before the November election.

That being said, there’s no guarantee that a lot of these Democrats will vote for him again, so I think there is still a pretty good chance Madigan gets forced out or leaves one way or another

It may not be before the election, but it’s looking like there is a good chance he won’t be speaker next year.

    But you never know.

A lot of Dems have no spine.

Look at how many “progressives” caved in to Pelosi.

Even Stava-Murray who did not vote for Madigan last time did not vote no (she voted present).
