Ugaste Calls for Madigan’s Resignation, Pritzker to Call Ethics Session

From State Rep Dan Ugaste:

Ugaste Statement on ComEd’s Federal Bribery Charges

Mike Madigan

CHICAGO—State Representative Dan Ugaste (R-Geneva) released the following statement in response to the federal bribery charges officially filed against ComEd, which implicate House Speaker Mike Madigan in these charges, which is part of the ongoing public corruption investigation:

“Although he has not been charged, it is clear that Speaker Madigan is involved in this federal corruption case involving bribery to affect legislation, which makes it simple:

He must step down.

“While ComEd has taken responsibility for their part in this crime, Speaker Madigan now must answer.

“The work doesn’t stop there, we need comprehensive ethics reform, for which I have always been an advocate.

JB Pritzker

“I am calling on the Governor to immediately call the General Assembly back to Springfield for a Special Session to deal with ethics reform and any other action necessary to address this investigation and Speaker Madigan’s involvement.

“The Democrats had a chance to address this much needed ethics legislation at our Special Session in May, but chose not to do so.

“According to today’s press conference by the U.S. Attorney’s office, this investigation is ongoing.

“There is more corruption to be uncovered in Illinois.

“By adopting ethics reform, we can put the systematic checks in place to prevent any further harm to our state and Illinoisans who deserve better.”

  1. Madigan should resign.

He has been in office way to long.

There is a lot of corruption to be uncovered in Illinois.

By the way, Lauren Underwood should also submit her resignation!

  2. I’m calling for Madigan to resign too !

And I’m calling on Lord Jumbo Boy, King Of Burgers And Gluttony,
to huff and puff till he blows the leprechaun’s house down.

  3. If you think Mr Frank n beans is gonna help you your delusional!

  4. Franks, Pritzker and Madigan, the three stooges of Illinois! government:

They should all save us from their collective public embarrassment and resign now.

Such a breech of trust, and flagrant arrogance.

Vote Republican this November and remember, “Taxpayers Lives Matter!”

  5. Now you know why Lisa Madigan was Attorney General for twelve years providing protection for her Father and his cronies and benefactors.

Patty O’Kenneally does the same thing in McHenry County.

Rather than build cases against these corrupted politicians they instead look at reasons why they won’t charge them.

  6. What if maybe, just maybe, the Feds were able to roll Jacko and he provided them with the info they need to finally take down Madigan and Company and get this state back out of the hole he puts us in for the last 50 years.

I am sure they have been working Burke and friends too.

  7. I’m surprised more Dems haven’t called for him to resign.

Imagine running in a swing district — you know people are going to bug you about Madigan.

It’s disappointing how little pressure he’s getting from Democrats in the GA to resign.

That’s out of sync with constituents who want Madigan to resign and it’s not even close.

    Why the disconnect?

Does Madigan have some Epstein style dirt on all these people or what?

  8. Do you really think someone like Madigan would support you if he didn’t have dirt on you?

Another thought, that might be giving moderate dems pause is who might replace him.

Next time around, and all of this will not help them.

Might be better off with the devil you know.

  9. Eventually, Congressperson Jesus Garcia and State Representative Aron Ortiz will sponsor a candidate against Madigan for state representative and ward committeeperson. ⊙.☉

Ortiz defeated State Rep. Dan Burke (2018) and 14th Ward Committeeperson Ed Burke (2020). (@_@)

  10. Fat Chance!

Call for Jack Franks or RINO Weber’s resignation.

    That’s feasible.
