I’m not trying to start a debate about the ADA, but he technically could have been a senator BEFORE the ADA too.
FDR was crippled from polio and he was the president!
That was way before George H.W. Bush signed the ADA into law.

It also prohibits these nitwits from making you wear a face mask anywhere in public. Or anything else they so desire for that matter. They have no ability to legally refuse your entry or service. (Unless they just don’t like you in the case of a private business.) It is the reason you call the attorney general and the DOJ 8OO-514-0301 when they try to stop you with their face mask bologna. Video it if they try to intimidate you. I guarantee the bullies will back down. The fine for the first occurrence is $75,000.

As for McConchie, the ADA, and serving in the state Senate: the ADA required the state capitol to be accessible.
Without and before the ADA, the Capitol wasn’t accessible, and McConchie wouldn’t have been able to access certain committee rooms.
In fact, the Senate had to make some significant changes to rooms/structures when McConchie was elected.
