Postage for Jack Franks Taxpayer-Financed Puff Piece

With information about Coronoavirus pretty much everywhere, McHenry County Board Chairman Jack Franks decided to send a post card to everyone on the subject.

Jack Franks name appears four times on this side.

Now, we know part of the cost of the Vocid-19 mailing.

Postage was $22,342.70.

When budget time comes around, remember that this came from the County’s General Fund.

  1. Good god, was that OUR money?

Wait until you find the bill from the printer!

That one should triple this one.

While people are hurting for money BECAUSE of what the liars have done it takes special kind of evil to blatantly steal from the people AND frivolously toss that money around. Hell is going to be chock full of thieves. (Like every bastard that stole our money to buy flowers in hanging pots for downtown Crystal Lake. Especially egregious while the people suffer so!)

  2. The cost of virtue signaling DEMOCRATS.

It costs money to buy votes here in Illinois.

    Just ask Madigan.

  3. Where is the provision in the county board’s rules that gives a chairman unlimited spending in his sole discretion? Any answers from our County Board?

Have you heard of any County Board members coming out of the closet on this issue and the general operation of the Chairman’s office?

Who better than you to get the message to the public?

  4. Clearly, this mailing, if it were even felt to be necessary, was properly and legally in the domain of the, “Public Health and Community Services Committee”.

See Part 3.7 of the document ,”MCHENRY COUNTY BOARD RULES(December 20, 2016)”, which is at:

    https://www.mchenrycountyil.gov/home/showdocument?id=71382

Did this Committee authorize this mailing?

    If so, then probably OK.

If it was not approved by this Committee, then the County Board should legally require that the Chairman pay for the creation of the mailer and the mailing from his own funds.

One or more Members of the Board needs to bring up this issue at the next Board Meeting which is on July 21, 2020.

  5. Really annoted with all of this fake covid feelgood crap.

The only reason that people were / are out of work is because Democrats ordered it.

  6. Obviously the lay down GOP members of the Board are completely unable to challenge The Jackal.

They are like hyenas who watch the jackal attack and savage his taxpayer prey and hope to lick some scraps and bones after the jackal departs for a nap.

And like hyenas, they have a ghastly, revolting laugh!

People like Wheeler and Bates are totals poseurs.

Look here they are, hyenas Bates & Wheeler, awaiting their chance for some taxpayer entrails, but the jackal won’t budge!

  7. Yes it was our $$ just like he will be using our $$ to fight his lawsuit!

    I want my $$ back !!!

    not later NOW!

you do not have my permission to piss my tax $ away …

  8. Unless you made a campaign contribution to Jack Franks, you did not help pay for his legal expenses.

  9. Attention County Board Members; Bred Winner has done your homework for you.

We deserve your answers, and soon.

  10. Yeah, how was he able to do this in the first place?

    Did they approve it?

    Did he have discretionary funds?

  11. What does the Auditor have to say about this blatant Franks name recognition piece?

  12. Numerous Republicans use taxpayer dollars for mailings, in McHenry County, including the GOP legislators in the area.

Are you going to call them out too?

FWIW, I don’t like that they can do it. But this (and what the GOP does) is well within the rules.

  13. Who ever heard of a County Department designated as “Non-departmental – Contingency”?

Sounds like a deep pocket piggy bank with a balance of $$$.

“Contingency” is vague and open ended. Like magic “now we see it, now we don’t.”

  14. Did the Auditor approve this?

This should have to go through the Auditor and Purchasing.

If it has to do with the COVID then the Auditor has to approve this!

  15. ***The only reason that people were / are out of work is because Democrats ordered it.**

Then why do GOP governed states also have a ton of people filing for unemployment?

Why did Sweden – with no shutdown – still see significant downturn in the economy?

The research and data show that your statement is nowhere close to true.

  16. OK so post the details and most people here will call them out.

Which Republican used taxpayer funds to mail something and when did they do it?

  17. Alabama? Don’t you even read the crap you write? Do you know how we can tell you are as dumb as a bag of hammers? Read it! Whining “Well, well, Mommy, everybody else is doin’ it.” is possibly THE MOST pathetic of excuses you could have possibly come up with. You fail completely to even grasp what people are talking about and regurgitate taunts from your childhood! Mentally, you are three!
