Auditor Shannon Teresi’s Effort to Keep Taxpayer Dollars Out of Politics

With its being fairly common practice for McHenry County’s elected officials to put their names on pencils, pens and other promotional items, McHenry County Auditor Shannon Teresi decided to put a stop to it.

Her message seems to be, “Want to advance your political agenda, use campaign funds.”

That’s what I read into her March 14, 2019, memo, which is below:

  1. Shannon wasn’t appointed by the Jack so she has no authority.

  2. Too bad for the big violators: Franks, Prim, Tirio and Kenneally!

  3. Franks is no match for strong, smart women.

    Let’s watch the next County Board meeting to hear his three stooges read their scripted criticism of Shannon Teresi within the typically controlled agenda.
