AARP Joins Dems in Income Tax Hike Push

Take a look at this information about a pretty large contribution to Governor JB Pritzker’s and Mike Madigan’s progressive income tax hike referendum effort:

One of my seatmate for three terms on the Illinois House floor was Chicago’s Susan Catania.

After I left the General Assembly for my unsuccessful candidacy for Congress and after she left because of Pat Quinn’s Cutback Amendment which led to single-member districts in which minority-party citizens could no longer win a State Rep. seat, she gave me a call.

She said she was applying for a seat on the Illinois AARP Board of Directors and asked me to do so as well.

In my first campaign for the House, I received over 1,000 of my almost 13,000 votes from the seniors living in McHenry’s Whispering Oaks subdivision.

My record on providing tax relief for seniors even gained me an award from a liberal Chicago seniors’ group.

And I had served on the Area Agency on Aging Board.

So, I thought I was qualified.

Susan was one of the most liberal members of the Republican Caucus and, while I can’t remember her record on seniors, it probably was excellent.

So, we both applied.

We were both rejected.

AARP didn’t want Board members who could think for themselves.

  1. So AARP endorses idiocy it seems.

AARP is nothing more than a marketing organization.

  2. Madigan has been pushing for the progressive tax amendment since long before Pritzker arrived on the scene.

The anti forces need to make Madigan the public face of this monstrosity if they wish to defeat it.

  3. Chicago really going down the tubes

In Chicago, hundreds of protesters called for abolishing ICE and defunding the police, while chants of “Black women matter” and “Latino lives matter” could be heard.

  4. Susan Catania raised 7 daughters, supported ERA, Pro-Gays and was Anti-Reagan. 😑

in 1992, she ran for Cook County Recorder of Deeds, but lost to Jesse White. 😑

  5. AARP better back off or they will have no subscribers !

Keep your nose out of politics!

Subscribers don’t give you money to piss away n these idiots!
