According to WMAQ-TV, the numbers are up to seven:

Looks like the women are the only ones with balls in the democratic party.

So among 38 males, 0 have called for Madigan’s resignation; out of 35 females, 4 have asked for his resignation.
The Senate has 40 Democrats and a majority of them are male too: 21 males and 19 females.
Just 3 of them have asked Madigan to resign (all female).
That is 7 Democrats out of 113 in the General Assembly asking for Madigan to resign — about 6.2 percent.
Not a lot of “balls” anywhere tbh.
But I would guess that a majority of Democratic *voters* are female.
State Representative Mary Flowers (1985-present, D-Chicago) should be the next speaker, based on tenure and knowledge. 😊
