Man Pulled from Fox River in Algonquin

From the Algonquin Police Department:

Algonquin Police Officer assists bystander with pulling a 37-year-old Algonquin man from the Fox River

On August 7th, 2020 at approximately 7:17 pm the Algonquin Police Department and the Algonquin Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District were dispatched to the area of the Fox River and Illinois Rt. 62 for a water rescue

Upon arrival Officers discovered an unconscious man in the water.

A citizen by-stander, with the assistance of an Algonquin Officer, were able to pull the man out of the water where he was turned over to the Fire Protection District for medical treatment and transport.

The man is in serious condition and is being treated at Northwestern Huntley Hospital.

Although an investigation is pending it is not believed that foul play was involved in this incident.
