Part of the problem, focused on by the Chicago Tribune today, is Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx dismissal of cases involving looting.

More than 100 people were arrested as of 9 a.m., according to Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown. Thirteen officers were injured during the unrest, including a sergeant who was hit by a bottle. A civilian and private security guard were shot and wounded.
I won’t be the only one who wonders how many Foxx will refuse to prosecute.
Mayor Lori Lightfoot said,
“What occurred in our downtown and surrounding communities was abject criminal behavior, pure and simple,” Mayor Lori Lightfoot said. “And there cannot be any excuse for it. Period.”

US Federal troops need to be deployed to Chicago and surroundings with full armor, humvees, tanks, etc. Cook County State Attorney needs to be impeached for at least incompetence. Looters, rioters, anarchists, arsonists, terrorists caught need to be arrested by US troops and/or police and dispatched immediately to Gitmo to await trial and further jailing there when found guilty.
Additionally, the US needs sufficient and intelligent voters to select Trump and reject the dufus senile dementia Joe Biden and whatever will be his totally unqualified vp pick. “The derelict mayor of Chicago should step up and ask for help, because she’s doing a very poor job of securing her streets,” McEnany said.
