State Rep. Tom Weber Surveys Voters

Received a telephone poll on my landline yesterday.

It turned out to be from State Rep. Tom Weber, although I didn’t figure that out until about half way through.

Questions appear below:

  • Likelihood of voting
  • Method of voting
  • For State Rep. vote Republican or Democrat
  • Party identification
  • Gender
  • Age
  • Spanish speaker in household?
  • Racial identification

A list of names was then read with request to indicate how positive or negative one felt about them:

  • JB Pritzker
  • Tom Weber
  • Leslie Armstrong dash something
  • Mike Madigan
  • Bernie Sanders

Issues were floated concerning the office of State Representative:

  • Economic, jobs
  • Fiscal, budget spending
  • Social, gun control
  • Moral, abortion
  • Cultural, immigration

Then, the recorded interview moved to a push poll.

Positions of Armstrong (looked up and found the part of her name after the hyphen is McLeod) presented were

  • abortion on demand
  • against guns
  • has a business that sells Nazi photos
  • I think there was something about bankruptcy

Then the question was asked whether one would vote for Weber or Armstrong-McLeod.

Next question was where one was on the political spectrum from conservative to liberal.

Finally, one was asked who one voted for President in 2016.

Public Opinion Research (217-394-1272) out of Springfield conducted the research.
