McHenry County Circuit Court Encourages Remote Appearances

From the desk of McHenry County Circuit Court Chief Judge:

22nd Judicial Circuit Continues to Encourage Remote Participation

(Woodstock, IL) The 22nd Judicial Circuit has been operating during the Coronavirus pandemic with safety measures in place for the protection of all people required to enter the Michael J. Sullivan Judicial Center.

The seal of the 22nd Circuit Court.

One of these safety measures has been to increase the ability to appear in court via Zoom or CourtCall, including in many high-volume courtrooms.

We issue this press release to strongly encourage courthouse patrons to take advantage whenever possible of the opportunity to appear in court remotely.

Traffic cases – If you have a petty traffic offense in Courtroom 102, you may appear for court remotely via Zoom. On your court date, 30 minutes after the time listed on your ticket, simply log into Zoom using the following link:
https://zoom.us/my.mchenrycourtroom 102.

Civil and Family Cases – Both the Civil and Family division are also using Zoom and/or CourtCall to provide remote appearances.

Information about remote appearance can be found in the Standing Order of the respective Judge to whom the case is assigned or on the McHenry County Circuit Clerk’s website at https://www.mchenrycountyil.gov/county-government/departments-a-i/circuit- clerk/virtual-courtroom-information. The Court encourages attorneys and litigants to take advantage of remote appearance opportunities.

If you must appear at the courthouse in person, please do not bring additional people with you to the Judicial Center.

Please have family, friends and other supporters remain at home.

Having extra people in the Judicial Center unnecessarily crowds hallways and courtrooms.

The courtrooms have limited capacities with social distancing so entry may be limited.

  2. Justice?

    Or Just-us?

Don’t expect Pat Kenneally to protect you!

Unless you are a corrupt governmental official like Bob Miller or Marilynn Lantz or Mr. Jett, Pat’s pet!
