IL-Sen/IL-06: Illinois Family Action with Mark Curran and Jeanne Ives

On the afternoon of September 16, Illinois Family Action interviewed both Republican U.S. Senate nominee Mark Curran and 6th congressional district Republican nominee Jeanne Ives.

The ZOOM webinar lasted just over an hour, and both candidates gave insight into their respective races, and the role of the Federal Government as opposed to state and local governments.

Curran is challenging 4-term incumbent Democrat Dick Durbin and is on the ballot with independent Dr. Willie Wilson, Libertarian Danny Malouf and Green Party’s David Black.

Ives is challenging 1st term Congressman Sean Casten. Libertarian Bill Redpath is on the ballot, too.

  1. My guess, without polling to back it up, is Wilson is more a threat to take votes from Durbin than taking votes from Curran.

Chicago FOP endorsed Wilson yesterday, which may give some credibility to my guess.

  2. Chicago Cops aren’t enthused about Willie Wilson.

If they were, they would have supported him for Mayor of Chicago. 🤔😮
